那麼你們就要確實知道：永恆主你們的上帝必不再將這些國的人從你們面前趕出；他們卻要成為陷害你們的機檻和誘餌，成為你們肋下的鞭、眼中的荊棘，直到你們從永恆主你們的上帝所賜給你們這美好土地上滅亡掉為止。

則當確知爾上帝耶和華、必不復逐斯民於爾目前、彼必於爾為網羅、為機檻、脇下之鞭、目中之刺、迨爾滅亡、於爾上帝耶和華所賜之美地、

則當知爾上帝耶和華必不再驅斯民於爾前、斯民必陷爾於坎阱、為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、迨爾滅亡、在爾上帝耶和華所賜之腴壤。

則當知主爾之天主、必不復逐此諸族之民於爾前、斯民必為陷爾之網羅、必為陷爾之網羅或作必陷爾於網羅為鞭於爾脇、為剌於爾目、直至爾曹滅亡、於主爾天主所賜爾之美地、

then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the Lord your God has given you.

Then you can be sure of what the Lord your God will do. He won’t drive out those nations to make room for you anymore. Instead, they will become traps and snares for you. They will be like whips on your backs. They will be like thorns in your eyes. All that will continue until you are destroyed. It will continue until you are removed from this good land. It’s the land the Lord your God has given you.

know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you, but they shall be a snare and a trap for you, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good ground that the Lord your God has given you.

then know for certain that the Lord your God will no longer drive them out of your land. Instead, they will be a snare and a trap to you, a whip for your backs and thorny brambles in your eyes, and you will vanish from this good land the Lord your God has given you.

know for certain that the LORD your God will not continue to drive these nations out before you. They will become a snare and a trap for you, a sharp stick for your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you disappear from this good land the LORD your God has given you.

You must destroy all the peoples the Lord your God gives over to you. Do not look on them with pity and do not serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you. (niv)

There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.In the morning you will say,“ If only it were evening!” and in the evening,“ If only it were morning!”— because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.The Lord will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you. (niv)

As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. (niv)

but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods.They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves. At this, all the people from the least to the greatest, together with the army officers, fled to Egypt for fear of the Babylonians. (niv)

In furious anger and in great wrath the Lord uprooted them from their land and thrust them into another land, as it is now.” (niv)

May the table set before them become a snare; may it become retribution and a trap. (niv)

There at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed. So Judah went into captivity, away from her land. (niv)

I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. (niv)

The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from themuntil the Lord removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there. (niv)

They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (niv)
