Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear by them. You must not serve them or bow down to them.

Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips. (niv)

Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.” (niv)

those who bow down on the roofs to worship the starry host, those who bow down and swear by the Lord and who also swear by Molek, (niv)

and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, (niv)

as well as Nebo and Baal Meon( these names were changed) and Sibmah. They gave names to the cities they rebuilt. (niv)

I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked. (niv)

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (niv)

Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. (niv)

“ But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them, (niv)

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“ I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”Therefore,“ Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” (niv)

Do not be misled:“ Bad company corrupts good character.” (niv)

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, (niv)
