“ The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.

耶和华就必从你们面前把这些国民都赶出去，你们就必占领比你们大比你们强的国民的地。

你一生的日子必没有一人能在你面前立得住；我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我决不离开你，也不离弃你。

我要渐渐地把他们从你面前驱逐出去，等到你的人数增多起来，承受那地为止。

耶和华你们的神必把他们从你们面前赶出去，驱逐他们离开你们，你们就必得着他们的地作产业，正如耶和华你们的神所应许的。

他也必把他们的君王交在你的手中，你必使他们的名从天下消灭；必没有一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你把他们都消灭了。

迦勒把亚衲人的三个子孙，就是示筛、亚希幔、挞买，从那里赶出去；他们是亚衲人的后代。

这样，耶和华就把他从前起誓要赐给他们列祖的全地给了以色列人；以色列人占领了那地，就定居下来。耶和华照着他向他们列祖起誓所说的一切话，使他们四境平静；他们所有的仇敌，没有一人能在他们面前站立得住；耶和华把他们所有的仇敌都交在他们手里。

这律法书不可离开你的口，要昼夜默诵，好使你谨守遵行书中所记的一切；这样，你的道路就必顺利，你必一路亨通。我不是吩咐过你要坚强勇敢吗？所以，你不要惧怕，也不要惊慌；因为你无论到哪里去，耶和华你的神必与你同在。”
