他派遣了他的僕人摩西，以及他所揀選的亞倫；兩人將他的神蹟行在埃及人中間，將奇事行在含族之地。他發出黑暗，使那地黑暗；誰也沒有違背他的話。他把他們的水變成血，使他們的魚都死了。他們的地上、甚至他們君王的內室，都爬滿了青蛙。他一發話，成群的蒼蠅就來，蚊蟲遍滿他們的全境。他在他們的全境降下冰雹為雨、閃電為火。他擊打他們的葡萄樹和無花果樹，打斷他們境內的樹木。他一發話，蝗蟲和螞蚱就來，數不勝數，吃盡他們地上的一切植物，吃盡他們土地的出產。他又擊殺他們地上所有的長子，就是他們強壯時頭生的。

當稱謝那擊殺埃及頭生的，因他的慈愛永遠長存！
