Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, the Lord is the God of Israel. So give him glory and honor him by telling the truth! Tell me what you have done. Don’t hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”

Now Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I beg you, give glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession to Him, and tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and make a confession to Him. I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide[ it] not from me.

So Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, honor the LORD God of Israel and give him praise! Tell me what you did; don’t hide anything from me!”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”

Make models of the tumors and of the rats that are destroying the country, and give glory to Israel’s god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land. (niv)

Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and change it to deep gloom. (niv)

They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. (niv)

Then Ezra the priest stood up and said to them,“ You have been unfaithful; you have married foreign women, adding to Israel’s guilt.Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your foreign wives.” (niv)

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, (niv)

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (niv)

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. (niv)

Finally, all of you, be like- minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (niv)

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (niv)

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. (niv)

So they asked him,“ Tell us, who is responsible for making all this trouble for us? What kind of work do you do? Where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?”He answered,“ I am a Hebrew and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”This terrified them and they asked,“ What have you done?”( They knew he was running away from the Lord, because he had already told them so.) In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God. (niv)
