Now when all the kings west of the Jordan heard about these things— the kings in the hill country, in the western foothills, and along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea as far as Lebanon( the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites)—

All the kings who ruled west of the Jordan River heard about the battles Israel had won. That included the kings who ruled in the central hill country and the western hills. It also included those who ruled along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea all the way to Lebanon. They were the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

As soon as all the kings who were beyond the Jordan in the hill country and in the lowland all along the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, heard of this,

Now all the kings west of the Jordan River heard about what had happened. These were the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who lived in the hill country, in the western foothills, and along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea as far north as the Lebanon mountains.

When all the kings heard about Jericho and Ai, those who were west of the Jordan in the hill country, in the Judean foothills, and all along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea toward Lebanon— the Hethites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—

Now it came about when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, the lowland, and on all the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard about it,

And it came to pass when all the kings who were on this side of the Jordan, in the hills and in the lowland and in all the coasts of the Great Sea toward Lebanon— the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— heard about it,

And it came to pass, when all the kings that were beyond the Jordan, in the hill- country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;

And it came to pass, when all the kings which[ were] on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard[ thereof];

When the news reached all the kings on the west side of the Jordan– in the hill country, the lowlands, and all along the Mediterranean coast as far as Lebanon( including the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites)–

When all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, and on all the shore of the great sea in front of Lebanon, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard of it

“西部以地中海为界。

祂应许要带领你们脱离在埃及所受的苦难，到迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人，希未人和耶布斯人住的地方，那里是奶蜜之乡。’

你们过了约旦河来到耶利哥。耶利哥人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、迦南人、赫人、革迦撒人、希未人和耶布斯人都跟你们交战，但我把他们交在你们手中。

从哈拉山起到西珥，直到黑门山山麓黎巴嫩山谷的巴力·迦得城。约书亚擒获了各城的王，杀死了他们。

众人便把耶路撒冷王、希伯仑王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊矶伦王从洞里押出来，带到约书亚面前。

从约旦河到地中海的这片土地，无论是已征服的还是没有征服的，我已经用抽签的方式分给你们各支派作产业。

约书亚在当天占领了玛基大，把玛基大王和所有的居民都杀了，一个没留。他对待玛基大王跟以前对待耶利哥王一样。约书亚和以色列军又从玛基大出发，去攻打立拿。耶和华将立拿城和立拿王交在以色列人手中，他们杀了全城的人，一个没留。他们对待立拿王跟以前对待耶利哥王一样。约书亚和以色列军从立拿前往拉吉，他们在城外扎营，攻打拉吉。耶和华将拉吉交在以色列人手中，第二天约书亚便攻占了拉吉，杀了全城的人，就像在立拿所行的一样。基色王何兰前来支持拉吉，结果也被约书亚杀得一个不剩。约书亚又率领以色列全军从拉吉前往伊矶伦，在城外扎营，攻打伊矶伦。他们当天就攻陷该城，杀了城内所有的人，就像在拉吉所行的一样。约书亚和全体以色列人又从伊矶伦去攻打希伯仑。他们攻陷该城及其附属城邑，杀了希伯仑王和城邑中的居民，一个没留，就像在伊矶伦所行的一样。然后，约书亚和全体以色列人再回兵攻打底璧，攻取了该城及其附属城邑，擒获底璧王，杀了城中所有的人，一个没留，就像对待希伯仑、立拿和立拿王一样。

我给你定下国界，从红海到非利士海岸，从旷野到幼发拉底河。我要把其中所有的人都交在你手中，你要把他们全部赶出去。

约书亚带领以色列人征服了约旦河西的诸王，占领的土地包括从黎巴嫩谷地的巴力·迦得直到西珥的哈拉山。约书亚按以色列的支派把这些土地分给以色列人。那里有山区、丘陵、河谷、山坡、旷野和南地，就是赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人住的地方。这些王是耶利哥王、伯特利附近的艾王、耶路撒冷王、希伯仑王、耶末王、拉吉王、伊矶伦王、基色王、底璧王、基德王、何珥玛王、亚拉得王、立拿王、亚杜兰王、玛基大王、伯特利王、他普亚王、希弗王、亚弗王、拉沙仑王、玛顿王、夏琐王、伸仑·米仑王、押煞王、他纳王、米吉多王、基低斯王、迦密附近的约念王、多珥山上的多珥王、吉甲的戈印王、得撒王，共三十一个王。

求你让我过去看看约旦河那边的佳美之地——那美好的山区和黎巴嫩。’

你要遵行我今天的吩咐。我必从你面前驱逐亚摩利人、迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人。

迦巴勒人的地方；以及东从黑门山山麓的巴力·迦得直到哈马口的整个黎巴嫩。

现在你们的上帝耶和华已经照祂的应许使你们的弟兄安居，你们可以回到约旦河东，到摩西赐给你们作产业的地方。

便大为恐惧。因为基遍是一座大城，宏伟得像座都城，比艾城更大，城中的人都骁勇善战。耶路撒冷王亚多尼·洗德便派遣使者去见希伯仑王何咸、耶末王毗兰、拉吉王雅非亚和伊矶伦王底璧，说：“求你们上来帮助我攻打基遍，因为这城已经与约书亚和以色列人立了和约。”这五位亚摩利王便联合起来，率领他们所有的军队在基遍附近扎营，攻打基遍。

摩西已经在巴珊把土地分给了玛拿西半个支派，约书亚把约旦河西的土地分给了玛拿西另外的半个支派及其他支派。约书亚派他们回家的时候，为他们祝福，

包括约旦河东的整个亚拉巴，远至毗斯迦山脚的亚拉巴海。

以色列人过河的时候，抬耶和华约柜的祭司站立在河中间的干地上，直到所有人都从干地上过了约旦河。

在约旦河西岸一带的亚摩利众王和沿海一带的迦南众王，听说耶和华为了让以色列人过河而使约旦河成为干地，都吓得胆战心惊，勇气尽失。

夏琐王耶宾听见这些消息，就派人去见玛顿王约巴、伸仑王、押煞王，还有北方山区、基尼烈南面的亚拉巴、西部丘陵和多珥高原的各王，以及东西两面的迦南人、山区的亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人和黑门山麓米斯巴地区的希未人。这些王便率领自己的军队，带着许多马匹和战车倾巢出动，人数多如海边的沙。他们在米伦河会师，一同扎营，要跟以色列人交战。

就在那天，耶和华跟亚伯兰立约，说：“我必将这片土地赐给你的后代，使他们得到从埃及河到幼发拉底河一带的土地，就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、亚摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人和耶布斯人的土地。”

从南部的旷野直到北部的黎巴嫩，从东部的幼发拉底大河直到西部的地中海，包括赫人居住的全境，都将是你们的领土。

然后，约书亚回师攻陷夏琐，杀了夏琐王。夏琐在诸国中为首。以色列人杀了城内的人，一个没留。约书亚放火烧了夏琐。

“你们的上帝耶和华带领你们进入将要占领的土地时，会为你们赶走赫人、革迦撒人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人这七个比你们强大的民族。

要等到你们的上帝耶和华使你们的弟兄像你们一样得到祂所赐的土地，安居以后，你们才可以回到约旦河东，在耶和华的仆人摩西分给你们的土地上定居。”
