耶和华神对女人说：“你怎么会做这种事呢？”女人说：“那蛇引诱我，我就吃了。”耶和华神对蛇说：“你既做了这事，就必受诅咒，比一切的牲畜和野兽更重。你必用肚子行走，终生吃土。

以撒说：“你弟弟已经用诡计来把你的福分夺去了。”以扫说：“他名叫雅各，岂不是这样吗？他欺骗了我两次：他先前夺了我长子的名分，看哪，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下给我的祝福吗？”

我只怕你们的心偏邪了，失去那向基督所献诚恳贞洁的心，就像蛇用诡诈诱惑了夏娃一样。
