Jerusalem’s people are suffering and wandering. They remember all the treasures they used to have. But they fell into the hands of their enemies. And no one was there to help them. Their enemies looked at them. They laughed because Jerusalem had been destroyed.

彼欲從所懽、而不能、遍索弗得、遂曰我憶昔所懽、其贈余者、多於今日、故必歸之、

爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入腴壤、水泉溪河、深淵皆出自陵谷、其土產小麥、麰麥、葡萄、無花果、石榴、橄欖、油與蜜、在其地可食餅、無艱苦、無匱乏、取其石即鐵、鑿其山即銅。

以其道示雅各家、以其律示以色列族兮、異邦之人、不識其誡命、不蒙其仁慈、爾曹當頌美耶和華兮。

以色列族之上帝耶和華云、猶大王既遣爾、諮諏於我、爾當告之曰、法老之軍旅、雖來輔翼、終歸埃及、

亞伯拉罕曰、子當憶、生前受諸福、拉撒路受諸難、今彼慰、而爾苦焉、

蓋虜予者、迫余謳歌、導我至遠邦者、強余作歡容、曰、當謳郇邑之歌兮、我在異邦、安能謳耶和華之歌兮、

郇民曰、我冀鄰邦、以手援予、引領徒勞、望眼欲穿兮。

昔爾之上帝耶和華、救爾於埃及、爾所目擊焉、豈有施大能巨力、異跡奇事、爭戰災害、事事可畏、以救他民、出於敵手乎。此事既顯示於爾、俾爾知耶和華獨一上帝、其外無他、在天有聲、使爾聞之、以指示爾、在地出大火、使爾見之、爾由火中聽其言詞。上帝眷愛爾祖、故簡其後裔、導爾出埃及、施厥大能、

凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。敵口孔張、切齒憤聲、曰、我所望者、今日之事、斯邑吞噬、我所目睹兮。

願如疇昔、我蒙上帝護持、其光有耀、雖行幽暗、受其燭照。當我強盛之年、全能之上帝、親我眷我、子女繞膝、越至於今、年少於我者、反加訕笑、彼之父兄、自我視之、比之守羊之犬、不若也。

悔曰、我父若多傭人、其糧有餘、我乃饑而死乎、
