敵口孔張、切齒憤聲、曰、我所望者、今日之事、斯邑吞噬、我所目睹兮。

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you. They laugh at you and grind their teeth. They say,“ We have swallowed up Jerusalem’s people. This is the day we’ve waited for. And we’ve lived to see it.”

All your enemies rail against you; they hiss, they gnash their teeth, they cry:“ We have swallowed her! Ah, this is the day we longed for; now we have it; we see it!”

All your enemies mock you. They scoff and snarl and say,“ We have destroyed her at last! We have long waited for this day, and it is finally here!”

All your enemies open their mouths against you. They hiss and gnash their teeth, saying,“ We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for! We have lived to see it.”

All your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say,“ We have engulfed her! This certainly is the day which we awaited; We have reached it, we have seen it!”

They sneer at me and say,“ Aha! Aha! With our own eyes we have seen it.”

“ All our enemies have opened their mouths wide against us.

My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me.

God assails me and tears me in his anger and gnashes his teeth at me; my opponent fastens on me his piercing eyes.People open their mouths to jeer at me; they strike my cheek in scorn and unite together against me.

Roaring lions that tear their prey open their mouths wide against me.

“ Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured us, he has thrown us into confusion, he has made us an empty jar. Like a serpent he has swallowed us and filled his stomach with our delicacies, and then has spewed us out.

Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked; they gnashed their teeth at me.

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them;

they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us;

Therefore prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander,

“ I have heard the insults of Moab and the taunts of the Ammonites, who insulted my people and made threats against their land.Therefore, as surely as I live,” declares the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel,“ surely Moab will become like Sodom, the Ammonites like Gomorrah— a place of weeds and salt pits, a wasteland forever. The remnant of my people will plunder them; the survivors of my nation will inherit their land.”This is what they will get in return for their pride, for insulting and mocking the people of the Lord Almighty.

For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel,

He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me— God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.

“ A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.

for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.

Say to them,‘ Hear the word of the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you said“ Aha!” over my sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile,

You should not gloat over your brother in the day of his misfortune, nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction, nor boast so much in the day of their trouble.You should not march through the gates of my people in the day of their disaster, nor gloat over them in their calamity in the day of their disaster, nor seize their wealth in the day of their disaster.You should not wait at the crossroads to cut down their fugitives, nor hand over their survivors in the day of their trouble.“ The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.Just as you drank on my holy hill, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and drink and be as if they had never been.

“ Israel is a scattered flock that lions have chased away. The first to devour them was the king of Assyria; the last to crush their bones was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.”

“ Though you were ruined and made desolate and your land laid waste, now you will be too small for your people, and those who devoured you will be far away.
