“ Young and old lie together in the dust of the streets; my young men and young women have fallen by the sword. You have slain them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered them without pity.

“ Young people and old people alike lie dead in the dust of my streets. My young men and women have been killed by swords. You killed them when you were angry. You put them to death without pity.

In the dust of the streets lie the young and the old; my young women and my young men have fallen by the sword; you have killed them in the day of your anger, slaughtering without pity.

“ See them lying in the streets— young and old, boys and girls, killed by the swords of the enemy. You have killed them in your anger, slaughtering them without mercy.

因此永恆主使迦勒底人的王上來攻擊他們，就在他們聖所的殿裏用刀殺了他們的壯丁，不顧惜壯丁或處女、老邁的或衰弱的；永恆主把這一切人都交在迦勒底王手裏。

『你以怒氣籠罩着自己，而追趕我們；你殺戮，並不顧惜；

因此我必不再顧惜這地的居民，永恆主發神諭說。看吧，我必將人各交於其牧民者手中，各交於其王手中。他們必砸毁這地；我必不援救人脫離他們的手。』

我必使他們彼此相碰，就是父親跟兒子一概相碰，永恆主發神諭說；我必不顧惜，不可憐，不憐憫，而不滅絕他們。」』

永恆主成就了他所計畫的，實行了他威嚴的話，就是他古時所命定的；他翻毁了，並不顧惜；他使你仇敵因勝過你而喜悅，使你敵人的角高舉。

永恆主吞滅了雅各所有的田莊，並不顧惜；他怒轟轟地翻毁了猶大小姐的堡壘，使它坍到平地；他辱沒了她的王和首領。

因此我也要以烈怒對待他們；我的眼必不顧惜；我必不可憐；他們雖向我耳中大聲呼求，我還是不聽他們。』

然後我要將猶大王西底家，永恆主發神諭說，跟他的臣僕和平民，就是在這城內、從瘟疫、刀劍和饑荒中所剩下來的人、都交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，和他們的仇敵手中，以及那些尋索他們性命的人手中，巴比倫王必用刀肆意擊殺他們，並不顧惜，不可憐，不憐憫。」

將他的人民送交與刀劍，又震怒他的產業。他們的青年人被火吞滅；他們的處女也沒有喜歌。

現在你要去擊打亞瑪力，將他們所有的盡行毁滅歸神，不要顧惜他們；無論是男人或女人、是孩童或喫奶的、是牛或羊、是駱駝或驢、都要殺死。」』

這一國的人鐵面無情，不顧老年人的情面，也不恩待青年人。

用你來打碎男人和女人；用你來打碎老年人和少年人；用你來打碎壯丁和處女；

我聽得到他對其餘的人說：『要跟着他走遍城裏，以行擊殺；你們的眼不可顧惜，你們不要可憐。要將年老的、年壯的、和處女、幼小的和婦女、全都殺掉滅盡，從聖所殺起；但凡有刀字記號的、你們可別觸害着。』於是他們從聖殿面前做長老的人殺起。

詔書由跑文書的人經手送到王的各省，說要在一日之間、在十二月、就是亞達月、十三日，將所有的猶大人、無論老少幼小或婦女、全都消滅屠殺滅盡，並且奪取他們的資財作為掠物。

因為死亡上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮堡，要從街上剪除孩童，從廣場上剪掉青年。

故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。

故此我也這樣；我的眼必不顧惜，我必不可憐；我必將他們所行的還報與他們頭上。』

『永恆主是公義的；因為我違背了他所吩咐的。但萬族之民哪，請聽我話！看我的痛苦！我的處女和壯丁都遷流外方為俘虜了。

又把城中一切所有的、不拘男女老少、牛羊和驢、全都用刀殺滅歸神。

因此萬軍之永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我必察罰他們；他們的青年人必死於刀下；他們的兒女必在饑荒中滅盡；

故此願你將他們的兒女交於饑荒，將他們交付於刀劍手下；願他們的妻喪失兒子，並做寡婦；願他們的男人被疫癘殺死，他們的壯丁在戰陣上被刀劍擊殺。

因此我充滿了永恆主的烈怒，我含忍得膩了。『我要向街上的孩童和聚在一處的青年團身上倒去了；他們連夫帶妻、年老的跟歲數滿足的必都被捉拿。

我的眼必不顧惜，我必不可憐；我卻要將你所行的還報與你；而你可厭惡之事的報應必在你中間；你就知道我乃是永恆主。永恆主這麼說：

其枝條枯乾，必被折斷；婦女必來，拿去生火。因為這人民是無知的人民；所以造他們的、不憐憫他們，形成他們的、不恩待他們。

我的眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你；我卻要將你所行的還報與你；而你可厭惡之事的報應必在你中間；你就知道我乃是永恆主。

『我打發瘟疫在你們中間、像埃及的樣子；我用刀殺戮你們的青年人，同時叫你們的馬匹被劫掠；我使你們兵營中屍首的臭氣撲鼻，你們仍不回來歸我』：永恆主發神諭說。

『永恆主把我中間的壯士都踢在一邊；他招聚了一大團人來攻擊我，要粉碎我的壯丁；永恆主將猶大童女踹下，像在酒醡中一樣。
