Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair become unkempt and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire.

Moses spoke to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar. They were Aaron’s sons. Moses said,“ Don’t let your hair hang loose. Don’t tear your clothes. If you do, you will die. And the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But all the Israelites are allowed to show they are sad. They are your relatives. They may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed with fire.

And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons,“ Do not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that the Lord has kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not show grief by leaving your hair uncombed or by tearing your clothes. If you do, you will die, and the Lord’s anger will strike the whole community of Israel. However, the rest of the Israelites, your relatives, may mourn because of the Lord’s fiery destruction of Nadab and Abihu.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your clothes, or else you will die, and the LORD will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may weep over the fire that the LORD caused.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you do not die and He does not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the entire house of Israel, shall weep for the burning which the Lord has brought about.

And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Let not the hair of your heads go loose, neither rend your clothes; that ye die not, and that he be not wroth with all the congregation: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your garments, or else you will die, and the Lord will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may mourn over that tragedy when the Lord sent the fire.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his other two sons,“ Do not dishevel the hair of your heads and do not tear your garments, so that you do not die and so that wrath does not come on the whole congregation. Your brothers, all the house of Israel, are to mourn the burning which the LORD has caused,

你們今日竟轉去不跟從耶和華嗎？你們今日既悖逆耶和華，明日他必向以色列全會眾發怒。

「身上有長大痲瘋災病的，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬頭散髮，蒙着上唇，喊叫說：『不潔淨了！不潔淨了！』

從前謝拉的曾孫亞干豈不是在那當滅的物上犯了罪，就有忿怒臨到以色列全會眾嗎？那人在所犯的罪中不獨一人死亡。」

耶和華又向以色列人發怒，就激動大衛，使他吩咐人去數點以色列人和猶大人。

你們要看守聖所和壇，免得忿怒再臨到以色列人。

但利未人要在法櫃帳幕的四圍安營，免得忿怒臨到以色列會眾；利未人並要謹守法櫃的帳幕。」

在他離俗歸耶和華的一切日子，不可挨近死屍。他的父母或是弟兄姊妹死了的時候，他不可因他們使自己不潔淨，因為那離俗歸神的憑據是在他頭上。

「人子啊，我要將你眼目所喜愛的忽然取去，你卻不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流淚，只可歎息，不可出聲，不可辦理喪事；頭上仍勒裹頭巾，腳上仍穿鞋，不可蒙着嘴唇，也不可吃弔喪的食物。」

他論自己的父母說：我未曾看見；他也不承認弟兄，也不認識自己的兒女。這是因利未人遵行你的話，謹守你的約。

猶大啊，要為你所喜愛的兒女剪除你的頭髮，使頭光禿，要大大地光禿，如同禿鷹，因為他們都被擄去離開你。

祭司要叫那婦人蓬頭散髮，站在耶和華面前，把思念的素祭，就是疑恨的素祭，放在她手中。祭司手裏拿着致咒詛的苦水，

窺探地的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服，

耶路撒冷啊，要剪髮拋棄，在淨光的高處舉哀；因為耶和華丟掉離棄了惹他忿怒的世代。

於是，耶和華降瘟疫與以色列人，自早晨到所定的時候；從但直到別是巴，民間死了七萬人。天使向耶路撒冷伸手要滅城的時候，耶和華後悔，就不降這災了，吩咐滅民的天使說：「夠了！住手吧！」那時耶和華的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場那裏。大衛看見滅民的天使，就禱告耶和華說：「我犯了罪，行了惡；但這羣羊做了甚麼呢？願你的手攻擊我和我的父家。」

第二天，以色列全會眾都向摩西、亞倫發怨言說：「你們殺了耶和華的百姓了。」會眾聚集攻擊摩西、亞倫的時候，向會幕觀看，不料，有雲彩遮蓋了，耶和華的榮光顯現。摩西、亞倫就來到會幕前。耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你們離開這會眾，我好在轉眼之間把他們滅絕。」他們二人就俯伏於地。摩西對亞倫說：「拿你的香爐，把壇上的火盛在其中，又加上香，快快帶到會眾那裏，為他們贖罪；因為有忿怒從耶和華那裏出來，瘟疫已經發作了。」亞倫照着摩西所說的拿來，跑到會中，不料，瘟疫在百姓中已經發作了。他就加上香，為百姓贖罪。

耶和華對摩西說：「你告訴以色列人說：『耶和華說：你們是硬着頸項的百姓，我若一霎時臨到你們中間，必滅絕你們。現在你們要把身上的妝飾摘下來，使我可以知道怎樣待你們。』」

耶和華對摩西說：「你告訴亞倫子孫作祭司的說：祭司不可為民中的死人沾染自己，除非為他骨肉之親的父母、兒女、弟兄，和未曾出嫁、作處女的姊妹，才可以沾染自己。祭司既在民中為首，就不可從俗沾染自己。不可使頭光禿；不可剃除鬍鬚的周圍，也不可用刀劃身。要歸神為聖，不可褻瀆神的名；因為耶和華的火祭，就是神的食物，是他們獻的，所以他們要成為聖。不可娶妓女或被污的女人為妻，也不可娶被休的婦人為妻，因為祭司是歸神為聖。所以你要使他成聖，因為他奉獻你神的食物；你要以他為聖，因為我－使你們成聖的耶和華－是聖的。祭司的女兒若行淫辱沒自己，就辱沒了父親，必用火將她焚燒。「在弟兄中作大祭司、頭上倒了膏油、又承接聖職、穿了聖衣的，不可蓬頭散髮，也不可撕裂衣服。不可挨近死屍，也不可為父母沾染自己。不可出聖所，也不可褻瀆神的聖所，因為神膏油的冠冕在他頭上。我是耶和華。他要娶處女為妻。寡婦或是被休的婦人，或是被污為妓的女人，都不可娶；只可娶本民中的處女為妻。不可在民中辱沒他的兒女，因為我是叫他成聖的耶和華。」

以色列人犯了罪，違背了我所吩咐他們的約，取了當滅的物；又偷竊，又行詭詐，又把那當滅的放在他們的家具裏。
