Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair become unkempt and do not tear your clothes, or you will die and the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But your relatives, all the Israelites, may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed by fire.

Moses spoke to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar. They were Aaron’s sons. Moses said,“ Don’t let your hair hang loose. Don’t tear your clothes. If you do, you will die. And the Lord will be angry with the whole community. But all the Israelites are allowed to show they are sad. They are your relatives. They may mourn for those the Lord has destroyed with fire.

And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons,“ Do not let the hair of your heads hang loose, and do not tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the congregation; but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that the Lord has kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not show grief by leaving your hair uncombed or by tearing your clothes. If you do, you will die, and the Lord’s anger will strike the whole community of Israel. However, the rest of the Israelites, your relatives, may mourn because of the Lord’s fiery destruction of Nadab and Abihu.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your clothes, or else you will die, and the LORD will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may weep over the fire that the LORD caused.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you do not die and He does not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the entire house of Israel, shall weep for the burning which the Lord has brought about.

And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Let not the hair of your heads go loose, neither rend your clothes; that ye die not, and that he be not wroth with all the congregation: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Jehovah hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not let your hair hang loose and do not tear your garments, or else you will die, and the Lord will become angry with the whole community. However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may mourn over that tragedy when the Lord sent the fire.

And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Then Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his other two sons,“ Do not dishevel the hair of your heads and do not tear your garments, so that you do not die and so that wrath does not come on the whole congregation. Your brothers, all the house of Israel, are to mourn the burning which the LORD has caused,

從前謝拉的曾孫亞干豈不是在那當滅的物上犯了罪，導致憤怒臨到以色列全會眾嗎？死在他所犯的罪中的，不只是他一個人而已！』」

耶和華的怒氣又向以色列發作，激起大衛來對付他們，說：「去，數點以色列人和猶大人。」

你們要負責看守聖所和祭壇，免得憤怒再臨到以色列人。

但利未人要在法櫃帳幕的四圍安營，免得憤怒臨到以色列會眾；利未人要負責看守法櫃的帳幕。」

在他一切離俗歸耶和華的日子，不可挨近死屍。即使他的父母或兄弟姊妹死了，他也不可因他們使自己不潔淨，因為他頭上有離俗歸神的記號。

「人子，看哪，我要以災病奪取你眼中所喜愛的，你卻不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流淚，只可嘆息，不可出聲，不可辦理喪事；裹上頭巾，腳上穿鞋，不可摀着鬍鬚，也不可吃一般人的食物。」

關於自己的父母，他說：我未曾關注。他的弟兄，他不承認，他的兒女，他也不認識，因為利未人遵行你的話，謹守你的約。

猶大啊，為了你所喜愛的兒女，你要剪髮，剃光頭，要使你的頭光禿，如同禿鷹，因為他們被擄去離開你了。

祭司要帶那婦人站在耶和華面前，使她蓬頭散髮，再把紀念的素祭，就是疑忌的素祭，放在她的手掌，祭司手裏捧着致詛咒的苦水。

窺探那地的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服，

耶路撒冷啊，要剪頭髮，扔掉它，在光禿的高地唱哀歌，因為耶和華棄絕、離棄了惹他發怒的世代。』」

於是，耶和華降瘟疫給以色列。自早晨到所定的時候，從但直到別是巴，百姓中死了七萬人。天使向耶路撒冷伸手要毀滅這城的時候，耶和華改變心意，不降那災難，就對那在百姓中施行毀滅的天使說：「夠了！住手吧！」耶和華的使者正在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場那裏。大衛看見那在百姓中施行毀滅的天使，就向耶和華說：「看哪，我犯了罪，行了惡，但這羣羊做了甚麼呢？願你的手攻擊我和我的父家。」

第二天，以色列全會眾都向摩西、亞倫發怨言說：「你們殺了耶和華的百姓了。」會眾聚集攻擊摩西、亞倫的時候，摩西和亞倫轉向會幕，看哪，雲彩遮蓋會幕，耶和華的榮光顯現。摩西、亞倫就來到會幕前。耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你們離開這會眾，我好立刻把他們滅絕。」他們二人就臉伏於地。摩西對亞倫說：「拿你的香爐，把祭壇的火盛在裏面，加上香，趕快帶到會眾那裏，為他們贖罪。因為有憤怒從耶和華面前發出，瘟疫已經開始了。」亞倫照摩西所說的拿了香爐，跑到會眾中。看哪，瘟疫已經在百姓中開始了。他就加上香，為百姓贖罪。

耶和華對摩西說：「你對以色列人說：『你們是硬着頸項的百姓，我若在你們中間一起上去，只一瞬間，就必把你們滅絕。現在把你們身上的首飾摘下來，我好知道該怎樣處置你們。』」

耶和華對摩西說：「你要告訴亞倫子孫作祭司的，對他們說：祭司不可為自己百姓中的死人玷污自己，除非是他的骨肉之親，他的父母、兒女、兄弟、或未出嫁還是處女的姊妹，因她是至親，才可以玷污自己。祭司既然在自己百姓中為首，就不可從俗玷污自己。「不可使頭光禿，不可剃除鬍鬚的邊緣，也不可割劃自己的身體。他們要歸神為聖，不可褻瀆他們神的名，因為耶和華的火祭，就是神的食物，是他們獻的，所以他們要成為聖。「祭司不可娶妓女，或被玷污的女人為妻，也不可娶被休的婦人為妻，因為他是歸神為聖的。你要使祭司分別為聖，因為他獻你神的食物。你要以他為聖，因為我是使你們分別為聖的耶和華，是神聖的。「祭司的女兒若行淫玷污自己，就侮辱了父親，要用火將她焚燒。「在弟兄中作大祭司的，頭上倒了膏油，承接聖職，穿了聖衣，不可蓬頭散髮，也不可撕裂衣服；不可挨近任何死屍，即使為了父母也不可玷污自己。他不可出聖所，免得褻瀆了神的聖所，因為在他身上有神的膏油為聖冕。我是耶和華。他要娶處女為妻。大祭司不可娶寡婦，被休的婦人，或被玷污的妓女為妻；他只可以娶自己百姓中的處女為妻。他不可在自己百姓中侮辱他的兒女，因為我是使他分別為聖的耶和華。」

以色列犯了罪，又違背了我所吩咐他們的約，又取了當滅之物。他們又偷竊，又行詭詐，又把那當滅的物與自己的器皿放在一起。
