The priest is to examine the sore on the skin, and if the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling skin disease. When the priest examines that person, he shall pronounce them ceremonially unclean.

The priest must look carefully at the sore on the person’s skin. He must see whether the hair in the sore has turned white. He must also see whether the sore seems to be under the skin. If the sore is white and is under the skin, it is a skin disease. When the priest looks that person over carefully, he must announce that the person is‘ unclean.’

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. (niv)

“ When anyone has a swelling or a rash or a shiny spot on their skin that may be a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons who is a priest. (niv)

Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. (niv)

“ This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ Ask the priests what the law says: (niv)

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds. (niv)

Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed.Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer. (niv)

If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” (niv)

What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said,“ You shall not covet.” (niv)
