求你彻底洗涤我的罪孽，洁净我的罪；

基督这么做，是要藉着话语，用水的洗涤而洁净教会，使她分别为圣，

既然律法带有那将要来的美好事物的影子，它不是那些事物的本像，就绝不能藉着年年不断地献上同样的祭物，使近前来的人得以完全。否则，事奉的人因为一次性地被洁净，不再觉得有罪孽，难道不早就停止献祭了吗？

求你用牛膝草清洁我，我就洁净；求你洗涤我，我就比雪更洁白。

实际上，如果山羊和公牛的血，以及母牛犊的灰，洒在那些污秽的人身上，能使他们分别为圣、肉身洁净，更何况基督的血呢！基督藉着永恒的圣灵，将自己毫无瑕疵地献给神，他的血难道不能洁净我们的良心脱离致死的行为，使我们事奉永生的神吗？

神哪，求你为我造一颗纯净的心，使我里面重新有坚定的灵！

他为我们献上自己，是为了救赎我们脱离一切罪恶，并且洁净我们做他自己特选的子民，做美好工作的热心人。
