“ And you shall say to them, Any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Say to them:‘ Any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“ Tell them,‘ Suppose someone offers a burnt offering or sacrifice. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider.

“ Give them this command as well. If any native Israelite or foreigner living among you offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ Then you shall say to them,‘ Anyone from the house of Israel, or from the strangers who reside among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ Also you shall say to them:‘ Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that offereth a burnt- offering or sacrifice,

“ Say to them: Anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who live among them who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man[ there be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ You are to say to them:‘ Any man from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in their midst, who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice

“ You shall say to them,‘ Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

“ Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.“ If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord.

Then Elijah said to all the people,“ Come near to me.” And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that had been thrown down.Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying,“ Israel shall be your name,”and with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. And he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two seahs of seed.And he put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. And he said,“ Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.”And he said,“ Do it a second time.” And they did it a second time. And he said,“ Do it a third time.” And they did it a third time.And the water ran around the altar and filled the trench also with water.And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said,“ O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.”Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. And Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him.

and does not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to offer it as a gift to the Lord in front of the tabernacle of the Lord, bloodguilt shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood, and that man shall be cut off from among his people.

Then go down before me to Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do.”

and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.”

“ If any one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people.

And David built there an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.

For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” And the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’
