“‘ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“‘ Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.

“ You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

“ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“ Do not make your hired workers wait until the next day to receive their pay.

“ Do not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages due a hired worker must not remain with you until morning.

工人替你們收割莊稼，你們卻剋扣他們的工錢。那工錢發出不平的呼喊，工人的冤聲已經傳到萬軍之主的耳中了。

萬軍之耶和華說：「我要來到你們當中施行審判，速速作證指控那些行邪術的、通姦的、起假誓的、克扣工人薪水的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、冤枉異鄉人的，以及不敬畏我的。

「不可欺壓窮苦的雇工，不論他們是你們的同胞，還是住在你們城中的外族人。你們要在每天日落前付給他們工錢，因為他們窮苦，靠工錢維生；否則他們向耶和華控訴你們，你們就有罪了。

缺斤少兩、尺寸不足，都為耶和華所憎惡。

若我白吃地的出產，或使地的主人喪命，

耶和華說，你們為人要公義正直，要從欺壓者手中解救受剝削的人。不要欺凌、虐待異鄉人和孤兒寡婦，不可在這地方濫殺無辜。

你知道『不可殺人，不可通姦，不可偷盜，不可作偽證，不可欺詐，要孝敬父母』這些誡命。」

向你們發怒，用刀殺掉你們，使你們的妻子變為寡婦，兒女成為孤兒。「倘若有貧苦的同胞向你借錢，你不可像放債的一樣從中取利。倘若他把衣服給你作抵押，你要在日落之前把衣服還給他。因為他只有這件蔽體的衣服，若是沒有，他晚上如何睡覺？他若呼求我，我必定幫助他，因為我是仁慈的。

你的居民強取豪奪，欺壓貧困的，虐待寄居的，無法無天。

倘若沒捉到盜賊，鄰居就要到審判官那裡證明自己沒有偷拿。倘若二人之間有什麼糾紛，無論是為了牛、驢、羊、衣服或失物，爭執的雙方要把案件呈報審判官，審判官判誰敗訴，誰就要賠償雙倍。

耶和華說：「約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬啊，你有禍了！你以不公不義的手段建造宮廷殿宇，不給工人發工錢。

不可仗勢剝削貧窮人，法庭上不可欺凌弱者，

或撿到東西卻矢口否認，或起假誓，或犯其他類似的罪，

你們在這種事上不可越軌，虧負弟兄姊妹。我們曾經對你們說過，並且鄭重地警告過你們，主必懲治犯這種罪的人。

倘若物主當時在場，借的人就不用賠償。倘若牲畜是租來的，租的人只需付租金不用賠償。

倘若牲畜被野獸咬死，受託人要把殘骸帶來當證據，無需賠償被咬死的牲畜。

「不可欺壓在你們中間寄居的人，因為你們在埃及也做過寄居的人。

約翰說：「除了規定的稅以外，一分錢也不可多收。」
