「每個人都要被火煉，像被鹽醃一樣。鹽是好東西，但如果失去鹹味，怎能使它再鹹呢？你們裡面要有鹽，要彼此和睦。」

可以給他銀子三點四噸、麥子兩萬二千升、酒兩千二百升、油兩千二百升，鹽可以隨意取用。
