『人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的、變節去隨從他們，我要向那人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉。

“人偏向交鬼的和行巫术的，随他们行邪淫，我要向那人变脸，把他从民中剪除。

“人若转向招魂的和行巫术的，随从他们行淫，我就要向这人变脸，把他从百姓中剪除。

“人若转向招魂的和行巫术的，随从他们行淫，我就要向这人变脸，把他从百姓中剪除。

如果有人求问灵媒或巫师，与他们苟合，我必严惩，将他从民中铲除。

“如果有人转向交鬼的和行法术的，随从他们行淫，我必向那人变脸，把他从他的族人中剪除。

凡狥欲從巫覡術士者、我必怒之、絕於民中、

憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

凡行邪妄從交鬼之人及巫覡者、我必向斯人震怒、滅絕於民中、

“‘ I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.

“‘ Suppose someone looks for advice from people who get messages from those who have died. Or they go to people who talk to the spirits of the dead. And they do what those people say. Then they have not been faithful to me. So I will turn against them. I will separate them from their people.

“ If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

“ I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

‘ As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the prostitute with them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

‘ And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

And the soul that turneth unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to play the harlot after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists and prostitutes himself with them, I will turn against that person and cut him off from his people.

And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“‘ The person who turns to the spirits of the dead and familiar spirits to commit prostitution by going after them, I will set my face against that person and cut him off from the midst of his people.

“‘ The person that turns to those who are mediums and wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

『你們不可偏向那些交鬼的和行巫術的；不可求問他們、以致因他們而蒙不潔；我永恆主是你們的上帝。

『無論男人女人、不拘是交鬼的、或行巫術的、如果你們中間有這樣人的話，總必須被處死；人要扔石頭把他們砍死；流他們血的罪必歸到他們自己身上。』

有人對你們說：『要求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是那啁啾叫嗡嗡鳴的人。一族之民難道不能求問自己的神、而為活人去求問死人麼？』

啊，遠離你的、必定滅亡；凡變節離棄你的、你都剿滅。

『你們不可喫帶血的東西，不可觀兆頭，不可算命。

恐怕你和那地的居民立約，眾民就變節去服事他們的神，獻祭給他們的神，若有人請你，你便喫他的祭物，恐怕你給你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，而兒子的女兒又變節去服事他們的神，便使你的子孫都變節去服事他們的神。

他們求問着木頭，其指揮棍就指示他們；因為行淫的心使他們失迷，他們就行淫、離棄了他們的上帝、不肯在他手下。

這要做你們的繸飾物，好叫你們一看見、就記得永恆主的一切命令、而去遵行，不隨着自己的心意和眼目亂跑、就是你們素常所隨着跑、而變節服事別的神的；

那時你們那些逃脫的人必在被擄到列國中懷念着我怎樣為了他們的心和他們的眼而心裏破碎，因為他們的心淫蕩而遠離我，他們的眼淫蕩而追隨着他們的偶像；那時為了他們所行的壞事、為了他們一切可厭惡的事、他們就必討厭自己。

在你中間不可有人將兒子或女兒用火燒獻為祭，也不可有占卜的、算命的、觀兆頭的、行邪術的、用迷術的、問交鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。因為凡行這些事的、都是永恆主所憎惡的；也正是因了這些可厭惡之事的緣故，永恆主你的上帝才把他們從你面前趕出。你對於永恆主你的上帝要純全無疵。你正要趕出的那些外國人都聽信算命的、占卜的；至於你呢，永恆主你的上帝是不曾許給你這樣行的。

這樣、掃羅死了、是為了他所犯對永恆主不忠實的罪，為了永恆主的話的緣故、就是他所沒有遵守的；也是因為他去尋問去請示交鬼的，不請示永恆主，因此永恆主把他殺死，將他的國位轉歸耶西的兒子大衛。
