And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,holding forth the word of life; that I may have whereof to glory in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain neither labor in vain.

To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death; To guide our feet into the way of peace.

the pure candlestick, the lamps thereof, even the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for the light;

To the law and to the testimony! if they speak not according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

and the lamp of God was not yet gone out, and Samuel was laid down to sleep, in the temple of Jehovah, where the ark of God was;that Jehovah called Samuel: and he said, Here am I.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.

Let your loins be girded about, and your lamps burning;

and they burn unto Jehovah every morning and every evening burnt- offerings and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of Jehovah our God; but ye have forsaken him.

Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the candlestick, as Jehovah commanded Moses.And this was the work of the candlestick, beaten work of gold; unto the base thereof, and unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work: according unto the pattern which Jehovah had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.

Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.

And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

He was the lamp that burneth and shineth; and ye were willing to rejoice for a season in his light.
