This bread is to be set out before the Lord regularly, Sabbath after Sabbath, on behalf of the Israelites, as a lasting covenant.

The bread must be set out in front of the Lord regularly. Do it every Sabbath day. It will be Israel’s duty to provide it for all time to come.

Every Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the Lord regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever.

耶穌對他們說：「經上記着大衛和跟從他的人飢餓之時所做的事，你們沒有念過嗎？他怎麼進了神的殿，吃了陳設餅，這餅不是他和跟從他的人可以吃得，惟獨祭司才可以吃。再者，律法上所記的，當安息日，祭司在殿裏犯了安息日還是沒有罪，你們沒有念過嗎？

就是為陳設餅、常獻的素祭，和燔祭，安息日、月朔、節期所獻的與聖物，並以色列人的贖罪祭，以及我們神殿裏一切的費用。
