“一切永属耶和华的圣物，就是人永献给耶和华的物，无论是人或是牲畜，或是他承受作产业的田地，都不可以变卖，也不可以赎回；一切永献之物都是归耶和华为至圣的。

“‘ But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the Lord— whether a human being or an animal or family land— may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the Lord.

“‘ But nothing a person owns and sets apart to the Lord can be sold or bought back. It does not matter whether it is a human being or an animal or a family’s land. Everything set apart to the Lord is very holy to him.

“ But no devoted thing that a man devotes to the Lord, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord.

“ However, anything specially set apart for the Lord— whether a person, an animal, or family property— must never be sold or bought back. Anything devoted in this way has been set apart as holy, and it belongs to the Lord.

“ Nothing that a man permanently sets apart to the LORD from all he owns, whether a person, an animal, or his inherited landholding, can be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is especially holy to the LORD.

‘ Nevertheless, anything which someone sets apart to the Lord for destruction out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the field of his own property, shall not be sold nor redeemed. Anything set apart for destruction is most holy to the Lord.

‘ Nevertheless no devoted offering that a man may devote to the Lord of all that he has, both man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord.

Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.

“‘ Notwithstanding, no devoted thing that a man devotes to Yahweh of all that he has, whether of man or animal, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed. Everything that is permanently devoted is most holy to Yahweh.

那時王要對在左邊的人說：『你們這些被詛咒的人！離開我！進到那已經為魔鬼和他的使者們所預備好的永遠的火裡去！

凡是本於律法上行為的人，都在詛咒之下，因為經上記著：「任何人不持守、不遵行律法書上所記載的一切，都是被詛咒的。」

撒母耳說：「把亞瑪力王亞甲帶到我這裡來！」亞甲歡歡喜喜地來到他那裡，心裡想：「死亡的苦痛必定過去了！」撒母耳說：「你的刀劍怎樣使女人喪子，你的母親也必怎樣在女人中喪子。」於是撒母耳在吉甲，在耶和華面前把亞甲砍碎。

如果有人不愛主，他就該受詛咒。願主快來！

那天以色列人的處境窘迫，因為掃羅讓軍兵起過誓說：「在我報復了仇敵以先、在傍晚之前吃東西的人是受詛咒的！」所以軍兵中沒有一個人吃東西。那整個地方，進入森林，地面上都有蜂蜜。當軍兵進入森林，看哪，有蜂蜜流淌，但沒有人用手取蜜放入嘴裡，因為他們害怕所起的誓。而約拿單沒有聽見他父親讓軍兵起誓，所以他伸出手裡的杖，把杖尖蘸在有蜜的蜂巢裡，然後用手取蜜放入嘴裡，眼睛就明亮了。軍兵中有人告訴他說：「你父親讓大家鄭重起誓說：『今天吃東西的人，是受詛咒的！』所以軍兵就疲乏了。」

基督替我們成了詛咒，從律法的詛咒中救贖了我們，因為經上記著：「凡是被掛在木頭上的，都是被詛咒的。」

天亮了，猶太人就策劃了一起陰謀，並且賭咒起誓說，殺掉保羅以前，就不吃不喝。策劃這同謀起誓的有四十多人。他們來到祭司長們和長老們那裡，說：「我們已經賭咒起誓，殺掉保羅以前，就什麼都不吃。

為了我的同胞，我的骨肉之親，就算我自己被詛咒、與基督分離，我也願意。

耶和華派給你使命，說：『你去，把那些罪人——亞瑪力人滅絕淨盡。你要與他們爭戰，直到滅絕他們。』

掃羅說：「所有軍兵的首領，你們都上這裡來，要查看今天這罪是怎麼發生的！我指著拯救以色列的耶和華的永生起誓：即使罪在我的兒子約拿單，他也必須死！」全體軍兵中沒有人回應他。他對全體以色列人說：「你們站在這一邊，我和我兒子約拿單在那一邊。」軍兵對掃羅說：「你看怎樣好就怎樣做吧！」掃羅對耶和華以色列的神說：「求你指明正確的抽籤結果！」於是約拿單和掃羅被抽中，軍兵都脫罪了。掃羅說：「在我和我兒子約拿單之間抽籤吧。」結果約拿單被抽中了。掃羅對約拿單說：「告訴我，你做了什麼？」約拿單就告訴他說：「我只是用手杖尖蘸了一點蜂蜜吃，我這樣就必須死嗎？」掃羅說：「約拿單，你必須死，否則願神處置我，重重地處置我！」軍兵對掃羅說：「約拿單為以色列成就了這樣大的拯救，怎麼可以死呢？絕對不可！我們指著耶和華的永生起誓：連他的一根頭髮也不可落在地上！因為他今天是與神一同行事。」這樣，人們救了約拿單，他就免於一死；

現在你要去攻打亞瑪力人，把他們所有的一切都滅絕淨盡，不可憐恤他們；無論是男女、幼童、嬰兒，還是牛羊、駱駝、驢子，都要殺滅。』」
