要拿一把牛膝草，蘸盆裏的血，把盆裏的血塗在門楣上和兩邊的門框上。直到早晨你們誰也不可出自己家裏的門。因為耶和華要走遍埃及，施行擊殺，他看見血在門楣上和兩邊的門框上，耶和華就必逾越那門，不讓滅命者進你們的家，施行擊殺。

原來那為萬物所屬、為萬物所本的，為要領許多兒子進入榮耀，使救他們的元帥因受苦難而得以完全，本是合宜的。

他要在耶和華面前宰公牛犢；亞倫子孫作祭司的要獻上血，把血灑在會幕門口壇的周圍。

耶和華因自己的公義，樂意使律法為大為尊。

祭司要把鳥拿到壇前，扭斷牠的頭，把鳥燒在壇上，鳥的血要流在壇的旁邊；

並新約的中保耶穌，以及所灑的血；這血所說的信息比亞伯的血所說的更美。

人在哪裏宰燔祭牲，也要在哪裏宰贖愆祭牲；其血，祭司要灑在壇的周圍。
