Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

Jesus had healed the woman on the Sabbath day. This made the synagogue leader angry. He told the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days. But do not come on the Sabbath day.”

But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people,“ There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day.“ There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd.“ Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”

But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded by telling the crowd,“ There are six days when work should be done; therefore come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day.”

But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response,“ There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

法利赛人看见了，就对他说：“你看，你的门徒作了安息日不可作的事。”

六日要劳碌，作你一切工作。

那人就去告诉犹太人，使他痊愈的就是耶稣。从此犹太人就迫害耶稣，因为他常常在安息日作这些事。

耶稣和了泥开他眼睛的那一天，正是安息日。法利赛人又问他是怎样可以看见的。他告诉他们：“耶稣把泥抹在我的眼上，我一洗就看见了。”有几个法利赛人说：“那个人不是从神那里来的，因为他不守安息日。”另外有些人说：“一个罪人怎能行这样的神迹呢？”他们就起了纷争。

经学家和法利赛人要看他会不会在安息日治病，好找把柄控告他。

当时来了一位会堂的主管，名叫叶鲁。他一看见耶稣，就俯伏在他脚前，

那时，有一个人来了，名叫叶鲁，他是一位会堂主管。他俯伏在耶稣脚前，求他往他家里去，

会堂里有一个人，他的一只手枯干了。有人问耶稣：“在安息日治病，可以吗？”目的是要控告耶稣。耶稣回答：“你们当中有哪一个，他仅有的一只羊在安息日跌进坑里，会不把羊抓住拉上来呢？人比羊贵重得多了！所以，在安息日行善是可以的。”

我可以为他们作证，他们对神有热心，但不是按着真见识；

我又把我的安息日赐给他们，作我与他们之间的凭据，使他们知道我是使他们分别为圣的耶和华。

众人窥探他会不会在安息日医治那个人，好去控告他。耶稣对那一只手枯干了的人说：“起来，站在当中！”又对他们说：“在安息日哪一样是可以作的呢：作好事还是坏事？救命还是害命？”他们一声不响。耶稣怒目环视他们，因他们的心刚硬而难过，就对那人说：“伸出手来！”他把手一伸，手就复原了。法利赛人出来，立刻和希律党人商量怎样对付耶稣，好除掉他。

六日之内，你要作你的工；但第七日你要安息，好使你的牛和驴可以歇息，并且使你婢女的儿子和寄居的也可以有时间喘息一下。

众人揪住会堂主管苏提尼，在审判台前打他。这些事迦流一概不理。

宣读了律法和先知书以后，会堂的理事们派人到他们那里来，说：“弟兄们，如果有什么劝勉众人的话，请说吧！”

“六日要工作，但第七日是完全休歇的安息日，应当有圣会；什么工你们都不可作；在你们的一切住处，这日是归耶和华的安息日。

他们却大怒，彼此商议怎样对付耶稣。

耶稣对律法师和法利赛人说：“在安息日治病，可以不可以呢？”他们却不出声。耶稣扶着病人，治好他，叫他走了，就对他们说：“你们中间谁的儿子或牛在安息日掉在井里，不立刻把他拉上来呢？”他们不能回答这些话。

会堂主管基利司布和他全家都信了主，许多哥林多人也听了道，信了主，而且受了洗。
