耶穌對他們說：「你們去告訴那狐狸：看哪！今天明天我驅趕鬼魔、治癒疾病，然後在第三天，我的事就得以完成了。

耶穌對曰：『往告彼狐、予於今日明日逐魔治疾、第三日將畢吾程；

He replied,“ Go tell that fox,‘ I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’

He replied,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ I will keep on driving out demons. I will keep on healing people today and tomorrow. And on the third day I will reach my goal.’

And he said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course.

Jesus replied,“ Go tell that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and healing people today and tomorrow; and the third day I will accomplish my purpose.

He said to them,“ Go tell that fox,‘ Look, I’m driving out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete my work.’

And He said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Behold, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I reach My goal.’

And He said to them,“ Go, tell that fox,‘ Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’

And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures to- day and to- morrow, and the third day I am perfected.

He said to them,“ Go tell that fox,‘ Look! I’m driving out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete My work.’

And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third[ day] I shall be perfected.

But he said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Look, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete my work.

He said to them,“ Go and tell that fox,‘ Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.

万有因他而有、藉他而造的那位，为了要带领许多儿子进入荣耀里去，使救他们的元首藉着受苦而得到成全，本是合适的。

他既然顺从到底（“他既然顺从到底”或译：“他既然达到完全”），就成了所有顺从他的人得到永远救恩的根源；

分封王希律，因他弟弟的妻子希罗底，并因他自己所行的一切恶事，受到约翰的责备。他在这一切事以外，再加上一件，就是把约翰关在监里。

耶稣对他们说：“我把许多从父那里来的善事显给你们看，你们因哪一件要用石头打我呢？”

以色列啊！你的先知好像废墟中的狐狸。

我说：“雅各的首领，你们要听，以色列家的官长，你们也要听；难道你们不知道公平吗？然而，你们恨恶良善，喜爱邪恶，从人身上剥皮，从人骨头上剔肉。你们吃我民的肉，剥他们的皮，打断他们的骨头，切成像锅里的块，像釜中的肉块。

当时耶稣的名声传扬出去，希律王也听到了。有人说：“施洗的约翰从死人中复活了，所以他身上有行神迹的能力。”

门徒对他说：“拉比，近来犹太人要拿石头打你，你还到那里去吗？”耶稣说：“白昼不是有十二小时吗？人若在白昼行走，就不会跌倒，因为他看见这世上的光；人若在夜间行走，就会跌倒，因为他没有光。”

希律王非常忧愁，但是因为他的誓言和在座的宾客，就不愿拒绝她。希律王立刻差遣一个侍卫，吩咐把约翰的头拿来。侍卫就去了，在监里斩了约翰的头，把头放在盘子上，拿来交给那女孩子，女孩子又交给她的母亲。

律法所立的大祭司，都是软弱的人；可是在律法以后，用誓言所立的儿子，却是成为完全直到永远的。

希律看见耶稣，非常欢喜，因为他曾经听过耶稣的事，早就想要见他，希望看他行个神迹。于是他问了耶稣许多话，但耶稣什么也不回答。祭司长和经学家站着，猛烈地控告他。希律和他的侍卫就藐视耶稣，戏弄他，给他穿上华丽的衣服，把他送回彼拉多那里。

我在地上已经荣耀了你，你交给我要作的工，我已经完成了。父啊，现在让我在你自己面前得着荣耀，就是在创世以前我与你同享的荣耀。

城中的领袖都是咆哮的狮子，城中的审判官是夜间的豺狼，什么都不留到早晨。

分封王希律听见所发生的一切事，犹豫不定，因为有人说：“约翰从死人中复活了。”又有人说：“以利亚显现了。”还有人说：“古时的一位先知复活了。”希律说：“约翰已经斩头了，但这是谁，我怎么会听到他这些事呢？”就设法要见他。

耶稣尝了那酸酒，说：“成了！”就低下头，断了气。
