Jesus asked,“ Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine?Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill. He prayed to the Lord, who healed him and gave him a miraculous sign.But Hezekiah did not respond appropriately to the kindness shown him, and he became proud. So the Lord’s anger came against him and against Judah and Jerusalem.Then Hezekiah humbled himself and repented of his pride, as did the people of Jerusalem. So the Lord’s anger did not fall on them during Hezekiah’s lifetime.

But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him,“ Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.”

“ Yes, Lord, I believe!” the man said. And he worshiped Jesus.

Only the living can praise you as I do today. Each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next.Think of it— the Lord is ready to heal me! I will sing his praises with instruments every day of my life in the Temple of the Lord.Isaiah had said to Hezekiah’s servants,“ Make an ointment from figs and spread it over the boil, and Hezekiah will recover.”And Hezekiah had asked,“ What sign will prove that I will go to the Temple of the Lord?”

Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen. And they praised God for giving humans such authority.

What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me?I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me.I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die.

I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.
