你们要变卖财产周济人，为自己预备永不坏的钱囊和用不尽的财宝在天上，就是贼不能近，虫不能蛀的地方。

耶稣说：“你若愿意作完全人，去变卖你所拥有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；然后来跟从我。”

又要嘱咐他们行善，在好事上富足，甘心施舍，乐意分享，为自己积存财富，而为将来打美好的根基，好使他们能把握那真正的生命。

但是不可少的只有一件。马利亚已经选择了那上好的福分，是没有人能从她夺去的。”

我又告诉你们，要藉着那不义的钱财结交朋友，到了钱财无用的时候，他们可以接你们到永远的住处去。

弟兄们，我不是以为自己已经得着了；我只有一件事，就是忘记背后，努力面前的，

耶稣又对众人说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起自己的十字架来跟从我。

“不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖洞来偷。要在天上积蓄财宝；天上没有虫子咬，不会锈坏，也没有贼挖洞来偷。

亲爱的，有一件事你们不可忘记，就是：主看一日如千年，千年如一日。

于是彼得回应，对他说：“看哪，我们已经撇下一切跟从你了，我们会得到什么呢？”耶稣对他们说：“我实在告诉你们，你们这些跟从我的人，到了万物更新、人子坐在他荣耀宝座上的时候，你们也要坐在十二个宝座上，审判以色列十二个支派。

他们在路上走的时候，有一个人对耶稣说：“你无论往哪里去，我都要跟从你。”耶稣对他说：“狐狸有洞，天空的飞鸟有窝，人子却没有枕头的地方。”他又对另一个人说：“来跟从我！”那人说：“主啊，容许我先回去埋葬我的父亲。”耶稣对他说：“让死人埋葬他们的死人，你只管去传讲神的国。”又有一人说：“主啊，我要跟从你，但容许我先去辞别我家里的人。”耶稣对他说：“手扶着犁向后看的人，不配进神的国。”

有一件事，我曾求耶和华，我仍要寻求，就是一生一世住在耶和华的殿中，瞻仰他的荣美，在他的殿宇里求问。

信的人都聚在一处，凡物公用，又卖了田产和家业，照每一个人所需要的分给他们。

他们当中没有一个缺乏的，因为凡有田产房屋的都卖了，把所卖的钱拿来，放在使徒脚前，照每人所需要的，分给每人。有一个利未人，名叫约瑟，使徒称他为巴拿巴（巴拿巴翻出来就是安慰之子），生在塞浦路斯。他有田地，也卖了，把钱拿来，放在使徒脚前。
