“可是那些农夫看见他，就彼此讨论说：‘这是继承人。我们把他杀了，那继业就成为我们的了。’

農夫見之、相議曰、此其嗣子、我且殺之、業歸我矣、

園夫見其子、相議曰、此乃嗣子、盍來殺之、業則歸我矣、

詎意園戶見而互議曰：「此乃其嗣子、盍共殺之、產歸吾有矣。」

“ But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over.‘ This is the heir,’ they said.‘ Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

“ But when the renters saw the son, they talked the matter over.‘ This is the one who will receive all the owner’s property someday,’ they said.‘ Let’s kill him. Then everything will be ours.’

But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Let us kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw his son, they said to each other,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said,‘ This is the heir. Let’s kill him, so that the inheritance will be ours.’

But when the vine growers saw him, they discussed with one another, saying,‘ This is the heir; let’s kill him so that the inheritance will be ours.’

But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

“ But when the tenant farmers saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said,‘ This is the heir. Let’s kill him, so the inheritance will be ours!’

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another,‘ This is the heir; let’s kill him so the inheritance will be ours!’

“ But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. (niv)

Now if we are children, then we are heirs— heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (niv)

And I will appoint him to be my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth. (niv)

The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people. (niv)

“ Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor.“ Barabbas,” they answered.“ What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered,“ Crucify him!”“ Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder,“ Crucify him!”When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd.“ I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said.“ It is your responsibility!”All the people answered,“ His blood is on us and on our children!” (niv)

They discussed this among themselves and said,“ It is because we didn’t bring any bread.” (niv)

and asked,“ Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.“ In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied,“ for this is what the prophet has written:“‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.He sent them to Bethlehem and said,“ Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.“ Get up,” he said,“ take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet:“ Out of Egypt I called my son.”When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. (niv)

Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. (niv)

and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. (niv)

They discussed it among themselves and said,“ If we say,‘ From heaven,’ he will ask,‘ Why didn’t you believe him?’ (niv)

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,“ Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.” (niv)

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. (niv)

John’s baptism— where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or of human origin?” They discussed it among themselves and said,“ If we say,‘ From heaven,’ he will ask,‘ Then why didn’t you believe him?’ (niv)

But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.“ Here comes that dreamer!” they said to each other.“ Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.” (niv)

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up,“ You know nothing at all!You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.” (niv)
