他們無法當着百姓在他的話上抓到把柄，又因他的對答而驚訝，就閉口不言了。

恨耶和華的人必來投降，願他們的厄運直到永遠。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裏押解到總督府。那時是清早。他們自己卻不進總督府，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的宴席。於是彼拉多出來，到他們那裏，說：「你們告這人是為甚麼事呢？」他們回答他說：「這人若不作惡，我們就不會把他交給你了。」彼拉多對他們說：「你們自己帶他去，按着你們的律法問他吧！」猶太人說：「我們沒有殺人的權柄。」這是要應驗耶穌所說，指自己將要怎樣死的話。

他們因貪婪，要用捏造的言語在你們身上取得利益。他們的懲罰，自古以來並不遲延；他們的滅亡也必迅速來到。

伺機要抓他的話柄。

後來，他們打發幾個法利賽人和希律黨人到耶穌那裏，要用他自己的話陷害他。他們來了，就對他說：「老師，我們知道你是誠實的，無論誰你都一視同仁；因為你不看人的面子，而是誠誠實實傳神的道。納稅給凱撒合不合法？我們該不該納？」耶穌知道他們的虛偽，就對他們說：「你們為甚麼試探我？拿一個銀幣來給我看。」他們就拿了來。耶穌問他們：「這像和這名號是誰的？」他們對他說：「是凱撒的。」耶穌對他們說：「凱撒的歸凱撒；神的歸神。」他們對他非常驚訝。

他們說：「來吧！讓我們設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，有智慧人設謀略，有先知說預言，都未曾斷絕。來吧！讓我們用舌頭攻擊他，不要理他一切的話。」

惡人窺探義人，想要殺他。耶和華必不把他交在惡人手中，當審判的時候，也不定他的罪。

我聽見許多的毀謗，四圍都是驚嚇；連我知己朋友都看着我跌倒：「告他吧，我們要告他！或者他被引誘，我們就能勝他，在他身上報仇。」

他派人往提哥亞去，從那裏叫了一個有智慧的婦人來，對她說：「請你裝作居喪的人，穿上喪服，不用膏抹身，裝作為死者悲哀多日的婦人。

眾人為了要控告耶穌，就窺探他會不會在安息日醫治那人。

當對神說：「你的作為何等可畏！因你的大能，仇敵要向你投降。

因為殘暴的人歸於無有，傲慢的人已經滅絕，一切存心作惡的都被剪除。他們憑一句話定一個人有罪，為在城門口斷是非的設下羅網，又用虛無的事屈枉義人。

我像柔順的羔羊被牽去宰殺，並不知道他們設計謀害我：「我們把樹連果子都滅了吧！把他從活人之地剪除，使他的名不再被記得。」

耶羅波安對他的妻子說：「你起來改裝，使人認不出你是耶羅波安的妻子。你往示羅去，看哪，那裏有先知亞希雅，他曾告訴我說，你必作這百姓的王。現在你手裏要帶十個餅、幾個薄餅和一瓶蜜到他那裏去，他必告訴你，孩子會怎樣。」耶羅波安的妻子就照樣做，起身往示羅去，到了亞希雅的家。亞希雅因年紀老邁，兩眼發直，不能看見。耶和華對亞希雅說：「看哪，耶羅波安的妻子來問你她兒子的事，因她兒子病了，你當如此如此告訴她。她進來的時候會扮成別的婦人。」她剛進門，亞希雅聽見她的腳步聲，就說：「耶羅波安的妻子，進來吧！你為何扮成別的婦人呢？我奉差遣將凶信告訴你。

那尋索我命的設下羅網，那想要害我的口出惡言，整日思想詭計。
