他们从别加往前走，到了彼西底的安提阿，在安息日进了会堂，就坐下来。宣读了律法和先知书以后，会堂的理事们派人到他们那里来，说：“弟兄们，如果有什么劝勉众人的话，请说吧！”保罗就站起来，作了一个手势，说：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，请听！

他们按着主的律法办完一切，就回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。

当他十二岁时，他们按着节期的惯例，照常上去。

来到拿撒勒城住下，这样就应验了先知所说的：“他必称为拿撒勒人。”

他回到自己的家乡，在会堂里教导人，众人都惊奇，说：“这个人的智慧和能力是从哪里来的呢？他不是木匠的儿子吗？他母亲不是马利亚，他弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？

耶稣对大祭司说：“我向来对世人讲话都是公开的，我常常在会堂和圣殿里，就是在所有犹太人聚集的地方教导人，暗地里我并没有讲什么。

他就对他们说：“这段经文今天应验在你们中间（“中间”原文作“耳中”）了。”

他在各会堂里教导人，很受众人的尊崇。

到了第六个月，天使加百列奉神差遣，往加利利的拿撒勒城去，到了一个童贞女那里，她已经和大卫家一个名叫约瑟的人订了婚，童贞女的名字是马利亚。
