“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

主之神偕我矣、蓋彼膏我、以宣福音於貧者、遣我宣告、虜者得釋、瞽者得明、受挫折者得自由、

主之神臨我、膏我、俾傳福音於貧人、傷心者醫之、

主之神臨我、因主膏我、俾我傳福音於貧者、遣我醫傷心之人、

上主之神、臨我之身；恩膏沐首、大命是膺。天主遣我、所為何因：窮苦無告、得聆福音；俘囚獲釋、瞽者復明；困者以解、屈者以伸；

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is on me. He has anointed me to announce the good news to poor people. He has sent me to announce freedom for prisoners. He has sent me so that the blind will see again. He wants me to set free those who are treated badly.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,

The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

The Spirit of the Lord[ is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free;the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

And he answered them,“ Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will give attention.

the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”

And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.They are turned back and utterly put to shame, who trust in carved idols, who say to metal images,“ You are our gods.”Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see!

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David.”When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then he touched their eyes, saying,“ According to your faith be it done to you.”And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them,“ See that no one knows about it.”

For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped;

saying to the prisoners,‘ Come out,’ to those who are in darkness,‘ Appear.’ They shall feed along the ways; on all bare heights shall be their pasture;

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said:“ Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.

He first found his own brother Simon and said to him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which means Christ).

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

Can the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?For thus says the Lord:“ Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children.

Shake yourself from the dust and arise; be seated, O Jerusalem; loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.For thus says the Lord:“ You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.”

And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways level; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward,” says the Lord of hosts.

As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.

for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light( for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,“ Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

“ Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place.

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,

“ And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord:“ My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children’s offspring,” says the Lord,“ from this time forth and forevermore.”Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.

But I will leave in your midst a people humble and lowly. They shall seek refuge in the name of the Lord,

a bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory;

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him,“ Are we also blind?”Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say,‘ We see,’ your guilt remains.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.

you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions;

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

And the Lord said to him,“ Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”

So it was annulled on that day, and the sheep traders, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.

to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die,

“ As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons,for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High.So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart.Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!For he shatters the doors of bronze and cuts in two the bars of iron.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and its inhabitants, and you have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.
