安息日我們出了城門，來到河邊，以為那裡是個祈禱的地方。我們坐下，對聚集的婦女講論。

耶穌看見群眾，就上了山；他坐下之後，門徒來到他跟前，他就開口教訓他們：

他上了西門的那一隻船，請他撐開，離岸不遠，就坐下，從船上教導眾人。

但你們中間卻不要這樣；誰想在你們中間成為大的，就要作你們的僕役；誰想在你們中間為首的，就要作你們的奴僕。正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，而是要服事人，並且要捨命，作許多人的贖價。”

他們從別加往前走，到了彼西底的安提阿，在安息日進了會堂，就坐下來。宣讀了律法和先知書以後，會堂的理事們派人到他們那裡來，說：“弟兄們，如果有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說吧！”保羅就站起來，作了一個手勢，說：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，請聽！

那一天，耶穌從房子裡出來，坐在海邊。有很多人聚集到他那裡。於是，他上船坐下來，眾人都站在岸上。

彼得看見了，就對群眾說：“以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事希奇呢？為甚麼瞪著我們，好像我們是憑著自己的能力和虔誠，使這人行走呢？
