就在那時，耶穌對眾人說：「你們帶着刀棒出來抓我，如同拿強盜嗎？我天天坐在聖殿裏教導人，你們並沒有抓我。

在安息日，我們出城門，到了河邊，知道那裏有一個禱告的地方，我們就坐下來對那些聚會的婦女講道。

耶穌看見這一羣人，就上了山，坐下後，門徒到他跟前來，他開口教導他們說：

有一隻船是西門的，耶穌就上去，請他把船撐開，稍微離岸，就坐下，在船上教導眾人。

但是在你們中間，不可這樣。你們中間誰願為大，就要作你們的用人；誰願為首，就要作你們的僕人。正如人子來，不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命，作多人的贖價。」

他們從別加往前行，來到彼西底的安提阿。在安息日，他們進了會堂就坐下。在讀完了律法和先知的書，會堂主管們叫人過去，對他們說：「二位弟兄，你們若有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說。」保羅就站起來，做個手勢，說：「諸位以色列人和一切敬畏上帝的人，請聽。

就在那天，耶穌從房子裏出來，坐在海邊。有一大羣人到他那裏聚集，他只好上船坐下，眾人都站在岸上。

彼得看見，就對百姓說：「以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事而驚訝呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，以為我們憑自己的能力和虔誠使這人行走呢？
