眾皆領教、且歎佩其口中所發之仁言、咸相謂曰：『此非若瑟之子耶？』

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips.“ Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

The wise in heart shall be called prudent; And the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

And coming into his own country he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Thou art fairer than the children of men; Grace is poured into thy lips: Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and, What is the wisdom that is given unto this man, and what mean such mighty works wrought by his hands?Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in him.

sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.

The Preacher sought to find out acceptable words, and that which was written uprightly, even words of truth.The words of the wise are as goads; and as nails well fastened are the words of the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spake.

The officers answered, Never man so spake.

A word fitly spoken Is like apples of gold in network of silver.

His mouth is most sweet; Yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

and all that heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; But the mouth of the wicked speaketh perverseness.

And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness and righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
