Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying,“ What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

眾駭異相語曰、此何言耶、蓋彼以權以能命邪鬼、而鬼出矣、

眾異之、相告曰、是何道耶、蓋以權能命邪神、而神出矣、

眾駭異、相告曰、此何道耶、蓋彼以權能命邪魔、魔即出、

眾皆愕然相顧曰：『斯何道歟？言具威權、諭魔即出。』

All the people were amazed and said to each other,“ What words these are! With authority and power he gives orders to impure spirits and they come out!”

And they were all amazed and said to one another,“ What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

Amazed, the people exclaimed,“ What authority and power this man’s words possess! Even evil spirits obey him, and they flee at his command!”

Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying,“ What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.All the multitudes were amazed, and said,“ Can this be the son of David?”

These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.

The seventy returned with joy, saying,“ Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”He said to them,“ I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

They were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf hear, and the mute speak!”

so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out.But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying,“ We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this.The evil spirit answered,“ Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?”The man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
