那時有上萬的人群聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌一開始先對他的門徒們說：「你們要提防法利賽人的酵母，就是偽善。

有一大群人來到他面前，帶著瘸腿的、瞎眼的、殘疾的、聾啞的還有許多其他人，把他們放在耶穌腳前；耶穌就使他們痊癒了。結果眾人看見聾啞的說話，殘疾的康復，瘸腿的行走，瞎眼的看見，都感到驚奇，就榮耀以色列的神。

於是，這消息傳遍了那整個地區。

但那個人一出去，就開始大加宣揚，把這件事傳開了，結果耶穌不能再公開進城，只好留在外面荒僻的地方。可是人們還是從各處來到他那裡。過了些日子，耶穌又進了迦百農。人們聽說他在房子裡，許多人就聚集，甚至連門前都沒有空處了。於是耶穌就向他們講道。

耶穌走遍全加利利，在他們的會堂裡教導人，傳天國的福音，並且使民中各樣的疾病和各樣的症狀痊癒。他的消息就在全敘利亞省傳開了。人們把所有的病人，就是患各種疾病的、受疼痛折磨的、有鬼魔附身的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，都帶到耶穌那裡。耶穌就使他們痊癒。於是有一大群人從加利利、德卡波利斯、耶路撒冷、猶太和約旦河對岸來，跟隨耶穌。

於是耶穌的消息很快地傳遍了加利利周圍所有的地區。

有一大群人，因為看到他在病人身上所行的神蹟，就跟隨他。

有一大群人與耶穌同行。他轉過身來對他們說：

耶穌與他的門徒們退到湖邊，有一大群從加利利來的人跟隨他；還有來自猶太、

敬畏耶和華是智慧所訓導的；榮耀之前，先有謙卑。

照樣，美好行為也是明顯的，即使是那些不明顯的，也不能一直隱藏下去。
