众百姓和税吏已受过约翰的洗，听见这话，就以神为义；

( All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John.

All the people who heard Jesus’ words agreed that God’s way was right. Even the tax collectors agreed. These people had all been baptized by John.

也有税吏来要受洗，对他说：“老师，我们该做什么呢？”

而智慧是由所有智慧的人来证实的。”

他们唱神仆人摩西的歌和羔羊的歌，说：“主—全能的神啊，你的作为又伟大又奇妙！万国之王啊，你的道路又公义又真实！

绝对不会！不如说，神是真实的，而人都是虚谎的。如经上所记：“以致你责备的时候显为公义；你被指控的时候一定胜诉。”我姑且照着人的看法来说，我们的不义若显出神的义来，我们要怎么说呢？神降怒是他不义吗？绝对不是！若是这样，神怎能审判世界呢？

这人已经在主的道路上受了训练，心里火热，精确地讲论和教导耶稣的事；可是他只知道约翰的洗礼。

我向你犯罪，惟独得罪了你，在你眼前行了这恶，以致你责备的时候显为公义，判断的时候显为清白。

保罗说：“这样，你们受的是什么洗呢？”他们说：“是受了约翰的洗。”

这两个儿子是哪一个照着父亲的意愿做了呢？”他们说：“大儿子。”耶稣说：“我实在告诉你们，税吏和娼妓倒比你们先进神的国。因为约翰到你们这里来指引你们走义路，你们却不信他，税吏和娼妓倒信了他。你们看见了以后，还是不悔悟去信他。”

我听见掌管众水的天使说：“昔在、今在的圣者啊，你做的判断公义；

因为不明白神的义，想要立自己的义，他们就不服神的义了。

那时，耶路撒冷、全犹太和全约旦河地区的人，都到约翰那里去，承认他们的罪，在约旦河里受他的洗。

亚多尼‧比色说：“从前有七十个王，大拇指和大脚趾都被我砍断，在我桌子底下拾取零碎食物。现在神照着我所做的报应我了。”他们把亚多尼‧比色带到耶路撒冷，他就死在那里。
