耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，难道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在灯台上吗？因为掩藏的事没有不显出来的，隐瞒的事也没有不露出来的。

好使你们无可指责，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女。你们在这世代中要像明光照耀，将生命的道显明出来，使我在基督的日子得以夸耀我没有白跑，也没有徒劳。

至于你所看见、在我右手中的七颗星和那七个金灯台的奥秘就是：七颗星是七个教会的使者，七个灯台是七个教会。”“你要写信给以弗所教会的使者，说：‘那右手拿着七颗星，在七个金灯台中间行走的这样说：

人点灯，不放在斗底下，而是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。你们的光也要这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，把荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”

他们就是那站在世界之主面前的两棵橄榄树和两个灯台。
