日头快要平西，十二个门徒来对他说：“请叫众人散开，他们好往四面乡村里去借宿找吃的，因为我们这里是野地。”

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,“ Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

Late in the afternoon the 12 disciples came to him. They said,“ Send the crowd away. They can go to the nearby villages and countryside. There they can find food and a place to stay. There is nothing here.”

Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said,“ Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place.”

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to him,“ Send the crowd away, so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Now the day was ending, and the twelve came up and said to Him,“ Dismiss the crowd, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get something to eat; because here, we are in a secluded place.”

When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to Him,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.”

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

耶穌卻一言不答。門徒進前來，求他說：「這婦人在我們後頭喊叫，請打發她走吧。」

並且妄論神說：「神豈能在曠野擺設筵席嗎？他雖曾擊打磐石，使水湧出，如江河氾濫；他還能賜糧食嗎？還能為他的百姓預備吃的肉嗎？」

天已經很晚，門徒進前來，說：「這地方偏僻，而且天已經很晚了，請叫眾人散去，他們好往四面的鄉鎮村莊去，自己買些東西吃。」耶穌回答他們說：「你們給他們吃吧！」門徒對他說：「我們要拿兩百個銀幣去買餅給他們吃嗎？」耶穌說：「你們有多少餅？去看看。」他們知道後就說：「有五個，還有兩條魚。」耶穌吩咐他們，叫眾人一組一組地坐在青草地上。眾人就一羣一羣地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌拿着這五個餅和兩條魚，望着天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，擺在眾人面前，也把那兩條魚分給眾人。他們都吃，並且吃飽了。門徒把餅和魚的碎屑收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。吃餅的男人共有五千。

傍晚的時候，門徒進前來，說：「這地方偏僻，而且時候已經晚了，請叫眾人散去，他們好進村子，自己買些食物。」耶穌對他們說：「不用他們去，你們給他們吃吧！」門徒說：「我們這裏只有五個餅、兩條魚。」耶穌說：「拿過來給我。」於是他吩咐眾人坐在草地上，就拿着這五個餅和兩條魚，望着天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，門徒又遞給眾人。他們都吃，並且吃飽了。門徒把剩下的碎屑收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。吃的人中，男的約有五千，還不算婦女和孩子。

耶穌叫門徒來，說：「我憐憫這羣人，因為他們同我在這裏已經三天，沒有吃的東西了。我不願意叫他們餓着回去，恐怕他們在路上餓昏了。」

耶穌舉目看見一大羣人來，就對腓力說：「我們到哪裏去買餅給這些人吃呢？」他說這話是要考驗腓力，他自己原知道要怎樣做。腓力回答他：「就是兩百個銀幣的餅也不夠給他們每人吃一點點。」有一個門徒，就是西門‧彼得的弟弟安得烈，對耶穌說：「這裏有一個孩子，帶着五個大麥餅和兩條魚，但是分給這麼多人還算甚麼呢？」耶穌說：「你們叫大家坐下。」那地方的草多，人們就坐下，男人的數目約有五千。耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，就分給坐着的人，也同樣分了魚，都照他們所要的來分。他們吃飽後，耶穌對門徒說：「把剩下的碎屑收拾起來，免得糟蹋了。」他們就把那五個大麥餅的碎屑，就是大家吃剩的，收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。人們看見耶穌所行的神蹟，就說：「這真是那要到世上來的先知！」耶穌知道他們要來強迫他作王，就獨自又退到山上去了。

這些事以後，耶穌渡過加利利海，就是提比哩亞海。

我曾在曠野，就是那乾旱之地認識你。

「我要與他們立平安的約，使惡獸從境內斷絕；他們在曠野也能安然居住，在樹林也能躺臥。
