你们不但说：‘看，真烦哪！’而且对主的桌子嗤之以鼻。你们把抢来的、瘸腿的、患病的动物带来——竟然带来作供物！难道我会从你们的手中悦纳它们吗？”这是耶和华说的。

你們還心裏說：「哼，多麼膩啊！」遂嗤之以鼻！萬軍之永恆主說。你們將被搶奪過的、瘸腿的、有病的帶來，獻為供物，我哪能從你們手中收納這個呢？永恆主說。

你們不但說：『看，真煩哪！』而且對主的桌子嗤之以鼻。你們把搶來的、瘸腿的、患病的動物帶來——竟然帶來作供物！難道我會從你們的手中悅納牠們嗎？」這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華曰、爾謂行此諸事、何其煩勞、遂輕慢之、耶和華曰、爾以所強奪者、及跛牲病牲、獻之為祭、我豈由爾手而納之乎、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾曰、供饌徒勞、何益之有、遂以跛疾斷傷之牲、獻之為祭、我耶和華豈悅納爾哉、

萬有之主曰、爾屢言獻祭勞煩、遂加輕慢、更以搶奪跛足有疾之牲、獻之為祭、我豈納之於爾手乎、主已言之矣、

And you say,‘ What a burden!’ and you sniff at it contemptuously,” says the Lord Almighty.“ When you bring injured, lame or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?” says the Lord.

You say,‘ What a heavy load our work is!’ And you turn up your nose. You act as if you hate working for me,” says the Lord who rules over all.“ You bring animals that have been hurt. Or you bring disabled or sick animals. Then you dare to offer them to me as sacrifices! Should I accept them from you?” says the Lord.

But you say,‘ What a weariness this is,’ and you snort at it, says the Lord of hosts. You bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! Shall I accept that from your hand? says the Lord.

You say,‘ It’s too hard to serve the Lord,’ and you turn up your noses at my commands,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ Think of it! Animals that are stolen and crippled and sick are being presented as offerings! Should I accept from you such offerings as these?” asks the Lord.

You also say,‘ Look, what a nuisance!’ And you scorn it,” says the LORD of Armies.“ You bring stolen, lame, or sick animals. You bring this as an offering! Am I to accept that from your hands?” asks the LORD.

You also say,‘ See, how tiresome it is!’ And you view it as trivial,” says the Lord of armies,“ and you bring what was taken by robbery and what is lame or sick; so you bring the offering! Should I accept it from your hand?” says the Lord.

You also say,‘ Oh, what a weariness!’ And you sneer at it,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ And you bring the stolen, the lame, and the sick; Thus you bring an offering! Should I accept this from your hand?” Says the Lord.

Ye say also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith Jehovah of hosts; and ye have brought that which was taken by violence, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye bring the offering: should I accept this at your hand? saith Jehovah.

Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another,“ Why this waste of perfume?It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly. (niv)

“ When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. (niv)

When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts? (niv)

“‘ Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known,and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say,“ We are safe”— safe to do all these detestable things?Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the Lord. (niv)

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Simon,” he said to Peter,“ are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (niv)

“ By offering defiled food on my altar.“ But you ask,‘ How have we defiled you?’“ By saying that the Lord’s table is contemptible.When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

you must present a male without defect from the cattle, sheep or goats in order that it may be accepted on your behalf.Do not bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.When anyone brings from the herd or flock a fellowship offering to the Lord to fulfill a special vow or as a freewill offering, it must be without defect or blemish to be acceptable.Do not offer to the Lord the blind, the injured or the maimed, or anything with warts or festering or running sores. Do not place any of these on the altar as a food offering presented to the Lord.You may, however, present as a freewill offering an ox or a sheep that is deformed or stunted, but it will not be accepted in fulfillment of a vow. (niv)

“ Yet you have not called on me, Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, Israel.You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings nor wearied you with demands for incense. (niv)

Why do you scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?’ (niv)

“‘ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves!For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices,but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. (niv)

Another thing you do: You flood the Lord’s altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands. (niv)

“ And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. (niv)

“ Ask all the people of the land and the priests,‘ When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for the past seventy years, was it really for me that you fasted?And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves? (niv)

“ I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me.Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them.Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. (niv)

The priests must not eat anything, whether bird or animal, found dead or torn by wild animals. (niv)

“ Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.“ So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. (niv)

Then I said,“ Not so, Sovereign Lord! I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead or torn by wild animals. No impure meat has ever entered my mouth.” (niv)

saying,“ When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?”— skimping on the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales, (niv)

The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; indeed, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In view of all this, should I relent? (niv)

If an animal has a defect, is lame or blind, or has any serious flaw, you must not sacrifice it to the Lord your God. (niv)

He must not eat anything found dead or torn by wild animals, and so become unclean through it. I am the Lord. (niv)
