万军之耶和华说：“那日临近，势如烧着的火炉，凡狂傲的和行恶的必如碎秸，在那日必被烧尽，根本枝条一无存留。

萬軍之耶和華說：“看哪！那日來到，像燒著的火爐一樣；驕傲的和作惡的，都必成為碎稭；那要來的日子，必把他們燒盡，不給他們留下一根一枝。

『因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說：那日來到、燃燒着像火爐：一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎稭；那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。

萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪！那日子將要來到，燃燒如火爐；所有傲慢的和作惡的都必成為麥稭，那要來的日子必把他們燒盡，不留下一根一枝。

萬有之主耶和華曰、降災之日伊邇、必爇若爐、驕侈之輩、作惡之流、有若蒭蕘、屆期必燬之、使其根株、靡有孑遺、

萬有之主曰、其日將至、勢若爇爐、凡驕傲者、作惡者、有如草芥、其日盡燬、根本枝條、無所存留、

“ Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty.“ Not a root or a branch will be left to them.

“ You can be sure the day of the Lord is coming. My anger will burn like a furnace. All those who are proud will be like straw. So will all those who do what is evil. The day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord who rules over all.“ Not even a root or a branch will be left to them.

“ For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says,“ The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed— roots, branches, and all.

“ For look, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and everyone who commits wickedness will become stubble. The coming day will consume them,” says the LORD of Armies,“ not leaving them root or branches.

“ For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies,“ so that it will leave them neither root nor branches.

“ For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the Lord of hosts,“ That will leave them neither root nor branch.

For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Jehovah of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. (niv)

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. (niv)

By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. (niv)

Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. These are not coals for warmth; this is not a fire to sit by. (niv)

Jacob will be a fire and Joseph a flame; Esau will be stubble, and they will set him on fire and destroy him. There will be no survivors from Esau.” The Lord has spoken. (niv)

Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel. (niv)

The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted( and they will be humbled),for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,for all the towering mountains and all the high hills,for every lofty tower and every fortified wall,for every trading ship and every stately vessel.The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day, (niv)

His roots dry up below and his branches wither above. (niv)

Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord’s wrath.” In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live on the earth. (niv)

“ When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. (niv)

They will be entangled among thorns and drunk from their wine; they will be consumed like dry stubble. (niv)

A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls. (niv)

The great day of the Lord is near— near and coming quickly. The cry on the day of the Lord is bitter; the Mighty Warrior shouts his battle cry. (niv)

And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. (niv)

The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. (niv)

But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’” (niv)

The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him. (niv)

“ See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. (niv)

His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (niv)

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. (niv)

Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand— (niv)

“ In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble. (niv)

“‘ See, the day! See, it comes! Doom has burst forth, the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed! (niv)

All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes. (niv)

“ Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. (niv)

“ Yet I destroyed the Amorites before them, though they were tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks. I destroyed their fruit above and their roots below. (niv)

No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. (niv)

When you appear for battle, you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and his fire will consume them.You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from mankind. (niv)
