從未有人見天主、惟獨生子在父懷者、彰明之、○

因爾以治萬民之權賜子、使子以永生賜爾所予子之人、夫永生者無他、即知爾為獨一真天主、且知耶穌基督爾所遣者、

爾由世所選而賜我者、我已以爾名示之、彼固屬爾、爾以之賜我、彼已守爾言、

耶穌知父以萬物付其手、且知既由天主來、亦將歸於天主、

父起死者而復活之、子復活所欲者、亦若是、父不審判人、乃以審判之事、悉委於子、使眾敬子、如敬父然、不敬子者、即不敬遣子之父、我誠告爾、聽我言而信遣我者得永生、不至定罪、乃已出死入生也、我誠告爾、時將至、今是矣、死者必聞天主子之聲、而聞之者必生、父在己有生、其賜子亦如是在己有生、且賜之權以審判、因其為人子也、毋以此為奇、時將至、凡在墓中者、聞其聲而出、行善者復活以得生、行惡者復活以定罪、

既言使萬物皆服之、則不遺一物不服之者、但今我儕未見萬物皆服之、惟見耶穌稍卑於天使、因死之苦、冠以尊榮、致其由天主恩為眾人受死、受死原文作嘗死萬物所本、萬物所歸者、欲引多子得榮、遂使救之之君、受苦難而得純全、宜也、

耶穌升天、今在天主之右、諸天使及有權者、有能者、皆服之、

即天主在基督身所顯之大能、由死復活之、使其在天、坐於己右、超諸執政者、操權者、有能者、主治者、及凡有名者之上、不獨在今世、亦在來世也、且以萬物服於其足下、使其於教會為一切之首、教會即其身、乃以萬有充滿萬有者所充滿也、

基督必操權、待置諸敵於其足下、最後被滅之敵、死也、蓋天主使萬物服其足下、其云使萬物服之、則使萬物服之者、不在其中明矣、
