Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them,so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

Now at Lystra there was a man sitting who could not use his feet. He was crippled from birth and had never walked.He listened to Paul speaking. And Paul, looking intently at him and seeing that he had faith to be made well,said in a loud voice,“ Stand upright on your feet.” And he sprang up and began walking.

When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice,“ Lazarus, come out.”The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them,“ Unbind him, and let him go.”

And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple.Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said,“ Look at us.”And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.But Peter said,“ I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”

Jesus answered them,“ I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me,

And when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said,“ Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me.”

And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them,“ See that no one knows about it.”

But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me.

And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead— by him this man is standing before you well.

Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said,“ Young man, I say to you, arise.”And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying,“ A great prophet has arisen among us!” and“ God has visited his people!”

When he came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying,“ Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying,“ I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.And Jesus said to him,“ See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

he said,“ Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord! May your hearts live forever!

This man came to Jesus by night and said to him,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

Bring out the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears!

the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.

“ Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know—

So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep.
