Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (niv)

Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph. (niv)

Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? (niv)

Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.And do not think you can say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. (niv)
