“人無論有甚麼過錯，或是犯了甚麼罪惡，不可憑著一個見證人的指證，總要憑著兩個見證人的口供，或是三個見證人的口供，才可以確定。

這是我第三次到你們那裡去，各樣事情必須憑兩三個證人的口，才能確定。

控訴長老的事，除非有兩三個證人，否則不要受理。

如果有人干犯了摩西的律法，憑著兩三個證人，他尚且得不到憐憫而死；

你們的律法上也寫著：‘兩個人的見證才是真的。’

殺人的，要憑著幾個見證人的口供，才可以把他處死；如果只有一個見證人，就不能指證把人處死。

憑著兩個或三個見證人的口供，就可以把那該死的人處死；只是憑著一個見證人的口供，卻不可以把人處死。

然後兩個匪徒來坐在拿伯的對面。這兩個流氓當眾作見證控告拿伯，說：“拿伯曾經咒詛神和君王。”眾人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石頭打他，把他打死了。

原來作見證的有三樣，就是聖靈、水和血，這三樣是一致的。

我要賜能力給我那兩個穿著麻衣的見證人，他們要傳道一千二百六十天。”
