Now when they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mountain called the Mount of Olives( which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away).

So every day Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, but at night he went and stayed on the Mount of Olives.

On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, leaving a great valley. Half the mountain will move northward and the other half southward.

Then Jesus went out and made his way, as he customarily did, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

Now as they approached Jerusalem, near Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciplesand said to them,“ Go to the village ahead of you. As soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.If anyone says to you,‘ Why are you doing this?’ say,‘ The Lord needs it and will send it back here soon.’”So they went and found a colt tied at a door, outside in the street, and untied it.Some people standing there said to them,“ What are you doing, untying that colt?”They replied as Jesus had told them, and the bystanders let them go.Then they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.Both those who went ahead and those who followed kept shouting,“ Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”

After Jesus had said this, he continued on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.Now when he approached Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples,telling them,“ Go to the village ahead of you. When you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.If anyone asks you,‘ Why are you untying it?’ just say,‘ The Lord needs it.’”So those who were sent ahead found it exactly as he had told them.As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them,“ Why are you untying that colt?”They replied,“ The Lord needs it.”Then they brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt, and had Jesus get on it.As he rode along, they spread their cloaks on the road.As he approached the road leading down from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen:“ Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
