作惡的人恨光，不肯接近光，恐怕他們的罪行暴露出來。

不要推說自己毫不知情，鑒察人心的主洞悉一切，保守你生命的上帝知情，祂必按你的行為報應你。

『藐視真理的人啊，看吧！你們要在驚懼中滅亡，因為我要在你們的時代行一件事，即使有人告訴你們，你們也不會信。』」

人子降臨時的情形就像挪亞的時代。

他們愚昧無知，因為眼睛被封住以致看不見，心竅被塞住以致不明白。他們無人思想，無人明白，無人醒悟說：「我用一半木頭當柴烤餅、烤肉吃，我豈能用另一半木頭造可憎的神像？我豈能向一塊木頭叩拜？」

所以，祂把烈怒和戰火傾倒在他們身上。他們被火包圍，卻不明白；被烈火焚身，卻不在乎。

有一萬以色列精兵從正面攻打基比亞，戰事非常激烈。便雅憫人大禍臨頭了仍懵然不知。

義人關心窮人的冤屈，惡人對此漠不關心。

他們要把你夷為平地，毀滅你城牆裡的兒女，不會留下兩塊疊在一起的石頭，因為你沒有認識到上帝眷顧你的時刻。」

我用比喻教導他們是因為他們視而不見，聽而不聞，聞而不悟。以賽亞的預言正應驗在他們身上，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。因為這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，以致眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不見，心裡不明白，無法回心轉意，得不到我的醫治。』

既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

他們故意忽略：太初，上帝憑口中的話語創造了諸天，並藉著水從水中造出了地；

你會說：「人打我，我不痛；人揍我，我不知。什麼時候醒了，再乾一杯！」
