凡作惡的便恨光，並不來就光，恐怕他的行為受責備。

你若說：這事我未曾知道，那衡量人心的豈不明白嗎？保守你命的豈不知道嗎？他豈不按各人所行的報應各人嗎？

主說：你們這輕慢的人要觀看，要驚奇，要滅亡；因為在你們的時候，我行一件事，雖有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。」

挪亞的日子怎樣，人子降臨也要怎樣。

他們不知道，也不思想；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼，不能看見，塞住他們的心，不能明白。誰心裏也不醒悟，也沒有知識，沒有聰明，能說：「我曾拿一分在火中燒了，在炭火上烤過餅；我也烤過肉吃。這剩下的，我豈要做可憎的物嗎？我豈可向木墩子叩拜呢？」

所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和爭戰的勇力傾倒在以色列的身上。在他四圍如火着起，他還不知道，燒着他，他也不介意。

有以色列人中的一萬精兵，來到基比亞前接戰，勢派甚是凶猛；便雅憫人卻不知道災禍臨近了。

義人知道查明窮人的案；惡人沒有聰明，就不得而知。

並要掃滅你和你裏頭的兒女，連一塊石頭也不留在石頭上，因你不知道眷顧你的時候。」

所以我用比喻對他們講，是因他們看也看不見，聽也聽不見，也不明白。在他們身上，正應了以賽亞的預言，說：你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白；看是要看見，卻不曉得；因為這百姓油蒙了心，耳朵發沉，眼睛閉着，恐怕眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存邪僻的心，行那些不合理的事；

他們故意忘記，從太古，憑神的命有了天，並從水而出、藉水而成的地。

你必說：人打我，我卻未受傷；人鞭打我，我竟不覺得。我幾時清醒，我仍去尋酒。
