挪亞的日子怎樣，人子之御臨也必怎樣。

他們不知道，也不明白，因為他們的眼被塗抹了，以致不能看見，他們的心蒙蔽了，以致不能了解。沒有一個人心裏回悟過來，也沒有一個有知識有聰明能夠說：「木頭的一半我已經燒在火中，我也曾在其炭火上烤過餅，烤過肉喫；難道其剩下的我還要作一座可厭惡之像！我還要向樹木頭叩拜！」

因此他將他怒氣之猛烈和爭戰之兇猛傾倒在以色列身上；這在他四圍如火𤏲起，他還不知，燒着他，他也不介意。

當時就有全以色列精兵一萬來到基比亞前面，戰勢很是猛烈，便雅憫人卻不知道災禍即將觸到自己身上來。

義人知照貧寒人的案件；惡人不曉得知照困苦人。

摔毁你和你裏面你那些兒女，不容你裏面有一塊石頭留在一塊石頭上；因為你認不出你被鑒察的時機。』

我用比喻對他們說話，是因為他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不見，也不領悟。以賽亞所傳講的神言、正應驗在他們身上了；他說：「你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟；要看了又看，卻決看不見。因為這人民的心給脂油蒙住了；他們以沉重的耳來聽，又把眼閉着；恐怕他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，用心領悟，回轉過來，讓我醫治他們！」

他們怎樣在認識上帝選擇了「無上帝」，上帝就怎樣把他們放給不上選的心思，去行不該行的事；

他們故意忘記了：太古時候、憑着上帝的話、就有了天、以及本着水藉着水而結合成的地；

你必說：『人擊打我，我卻沒有受傷；人笞打我，我竟不覺得；我幾時清醒，仍要再去尋酒。』
