that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.But whoso hath the world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?

If a brother or sister be naked and in lack of daily food,and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from thy works, and I by my works will show thee my faith.Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder.But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is barren?Was not Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son upon the altar?Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect;and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, cannot love God whom he hath not seen.
