是為大禮日前夕。既暮、貴顯議士若瑟、亞別瑪德人、素慕天主國者、毅然入謁比辣多、求耶穌遺體。比辣多異耶穌之已死也、乃召巴總、詢耶穌果已死否。既得百夫長報、遂准若瑟收其屍。若瑟既市布、乃解耶穌下、以布裹之、葬於巖石鑿成之墓穴、復移石、掩其墓門。瑪達蘭之瑪麗與若西之母瑪利亞、均審視其所葬之地。

有議士名若瑟者、猶太亞利瑪大人也、為人愷悌正直、平生企盼天主之國、眾所圖謀、未嘗附和、至是乃入謁比辣多求耶穌遺體。既卸之、殮以細葛、安葬於渾鑿石巖之生壙中。是為備禮日、即禮日之前夕也。自加利利偕來諸婦、隨後送之、既見塋壙、視遺體安葬始返、乃置備香料香膏；禮日、循例休息。
